Love my new bag from Mexx!

This tote bag was made based upon a commercial one I had bought a few years ago. It is to be the "wrapping" for the Christmas gifts for SIL2.

Pattern is about 125% from original.

Now that I have the 150mm (thanks to my wife for the sweet birthday gift), I thought it was time to post a gear shot.

Iam a mommy, so I get to share my bag with the diaper bag lol. I recently switched to a bigger purse, from a wristlet, just so I can carry around more not so useful crap.

An absolutely fabulous pattern from The Happy Zombie - and it's free! It's a very small bag - better for lunch or gifts. I might try to make a larger one using the same pattern.

The fabrics are: Daydream by Cyndi Walker (main bag and pocket) and Amy Butler Full Moon Polka Dots in Lime (strap).

On the streets of Jaisalmer, in the eastern Rajasthan, a woman returns home from the market, wrapped in her impeccable scarlet sari and slippers. With a proud gait she brings a shopping bag charge of needed goods and struts through the streets, in a usual way made of unfinished walls, hanging cables as lianas, dirt variously assorted, scooter parked everywhere, in addition to skinny sacred animals to bivouac.

I must have had this bag over two years now and it's still going strong. I reckon it develops it's own personality over time and should I break I don't know if I'll be able to replace it!!!

I know.

The front and back are two different sashiko designs.

Made from blue and red linen, with a fat quarter lining that by lucky chance goes beautifully with the Shippo Tsunagi pattern.

I am making a "Lucy Bag" from the Attic24 blog. These are my colour choices! I am so excited to start!

I used again this tutorial: www.dontcallmebetsy.com/2011/10/12-gifts-of-christmas-scr... - just the zipper is on top

"Carrot" linen from Pink Chalk. Michelle Patterns Messenger bag. Hexagons are from the fabric line Dream On by Urban Chiks for Moda. Vintage button from Sophie's stash and one of her orange hair elastics. Very logical pattern, not too many pieces, easy to follow directions. I did cut the strap fabric at 5 7/8" to fit the 1 1/2" slide.

For the Flickr pool. I love knowing what people carry with them, just like I love seeing people's homes and rooms.

Leanne's Shopping Bag, pattern by Rosalie Quinlan designs.

I made the pink version using recycled cotton fabrics from girls dresses.

I made 2 of the brown/green ones. One for myself and one for my sister. They have been so popular I have now made several, with more being asked for.

Creative Grab Bag is Ethan Bodnar's newest project on creativity:

he created over 30 unique tasks, put then in a bag and draw one for each participant. The task had to be different from participant's typical work and my draw was to make a painting. You see the results on the right hand page:-)

I think these "What's in my bag pictures" are pretty interesting, so I decided to put my own on here.

That's just one of my bigger bags, and normally I carry a smaller one and than there's not that much junk in it. :)

But this was all in right now...

I've gotten numerous tags for a what's in my bag/purse on youtube, which is odd because i'm not much of an active youtuber

so i decided why not just take a photo of what i have in my bag right now, instead of bore people with a 6 minute video

;)

**just noticed how little i have in my bag right now.. wow
