OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA. Just bought an Olympus Pen E PL1. This was one of the first pics in my backyard. So far I am very impressed with the picture quality, especially in outdoor, normal light shots.
It's now projected to rain straight through till Sunday, so I'm probably just going to take some rainy pics this afternoon. So, here is the before shot of our smelly, muddy backyard.

These showed up in the yard today. I expect they will have been mowed to bits by the morning, so I tried to capture their beauty while it lasted.
A sunny, warm day lifts the collective mood of the whole city. I was so content to get home from my hike in the Gorge and lounge in my backyard with a cold drink, my book, my ipod, my headphones, the sunshine on my face.
