With the valley heat on the way - it's nice to have your own private backyard oasis. Makes all of the pool ownership frustration worth it. =P

Our neighbors had an impromptu get together last night so we went over for a bit (and of course I took a few photos).
I'm having a blast experimenting with the endless capabilities of my new mobile phone. Armed with way too many Apps from the Android shop (all free) I'm doing what I can to destroy the integrity of the 5MP capability of the phone. This and the next few (bear with me!) were all taken using the FxCamera App and then fiddled with (sorry to get technical) using the BeFunky App.
I'll admit I'm addicted!
I think I've got the right name for this fellow on the wires in my backyard. He waited just long enough for me to run for the camera and try for the zoom shot. It's a pretty mundane bird photo, but the large size does capture his expression and enough detail to make it interesting for me.

Neighbors across the lake left their lights on, so I chose a very long exposure to create this effect. I like it.
