It's taken three months of finding the right contractor and one month of work, but the new backyard and patio are officially done. Only one photo-sensitive flood light remains to be put up.

Trying to get through months of photos just sitting on my computer... Colette likes to have her picture taken, has had her picture taken countless times since she was born. So, when we go out in the backyard for some simple fun and I pull out my camera to snap some photos of the garden, of course she asks me to take her photo as well. This turns into countless tricks involving bubbles and twirls and dancing and laughs and really much more fun than snapping photos of flowers.
Dead ivy leaves and returning to green ones on my fence. This ivy is all over one end of the deck and in the gardens surrounding it. Very pretty.

I was surprised that this Bobcat actually walked towards me to just check me out when I started taking photos. Certainly has been a while since we've seen them.

Carolina anole (Anolis carolinensis)
This little guy has been spending his summer in my vegetable garden. Since I garden organically, he is safe from pesticides. In fact I think he has been a natural pesticide, gobbling up the insects that try to eat my peppers, basil, tomatoes, etc.
