January 2013 project. Improving a jungle of a backyard - turning it into a modern tropical oasis in Bondi. Looking forward to the hot tub!
A wet and hungry raccoon, who was surprisingly comfortable around humans (though less comfortable with dogs), visited my back porch to nibble on bird seed. I left out a little bit of trail mix for it as well.
My backyard, taken at about 11 o'clock at night, when it was pitch black out. The lens flare is from the moon, as is all the light.
45 second exposure.
We had unseasonably warm weather on Oct 14th (22C), and the ladybugs were practically swarming in the backyard!
Tamron SP Di 90mm F/2.8 (272E) plus Raynox MSN-202 (and off-camera Yongnuo YN-560 III, as usual). First shots with the 202 - very powerful!

I was pretty worried about her last night because we had Santa Ana winds with gusts to 47 MPH. Dumbell that she is, she built her nest in an 8' POTTED PLANT (of all things) and that thing blew over 3 times this year before she built the nest. This morning when I got up all was cool and she was snoring away like there was never any danger. :o)
