This is every morning.

Please forgive the quality. I'm just learning. I found a program on my Mac called iMovie, and I had no clue what I was doing.

The deer in our neighborhood have never been more welcome. They have eaten so much of our gardens we have typically shooed them away as much as we can. But this year most of us here have simply embraced them. There seems to be no solution to the over population (hunting by bow only allowed in backyards and only with permission, of course). We seem to have a mama and twins who have decided our yard is a great place to hang out. I have sooooo many photos!

We have had some friendly visitors several times a week.

Yep, we have goats munching away at our long-neglected backyard tangle.

This beauty visited our dead palm tree this morning bright and early so I experimented some more manually focusing with my 400L 5.6 and 1.4x.....gotta say I'm impressed with the image quality.

This is the fenced in backyard in the winter.

Trying to get through months of photos just sitting on my computer... Colette likes to have her picture taken, has had her picture taken countless times since she was born. So, when we go out in the backyard for some simple fun and I pull out my camera to snap some photos of the garden, of course she asks me to take her photo as well. This turns into countless tricks involving bubbles and twirls and dancing and laughs and really much more fun than snapping photos of flowers.

From the street, outside the fence. Here's the wide view of the backyard: patio, climbing wall, shed, and lawn. Oh, and my fatboys, which I was trying to use as crash pads for the climbing wall, but they couldn't even do that well.

MY superheros! These superheros may not be perfect, but I want to remember them like this forever!

Go high contrast today and make a photograph with tons of pop. Do as much in-camera as possible.

The Egret that has been roosting across the pond decided to come up and try some fishing from our dock today. I had to sneak from the front of house to near the dock to get some better shots! My hubby was painting the back deck so could not use that door!!
