Snapshots taken from the family room by my sick, sad self.
Hubs built a rink in our backyard again this year. He and The Girl finally got to use it today. She's gotten quite good, especially since it's probably been a couple of years since she's been on skates. My favorite comment from her: I don't know if Daddy hasn't skated for a while, or if he was pretending when he tripped.
Burlington, Vermont USA • Work of anamorphic art, designed and aggregated by Beau Wolfe, The ArchitecT. in our shared back courtyard. Neighbor Dave built a mini-oil derrick-shaped planter from recycled bamboo and pallets, scaled to cover a big drain grate (cause of many twisted ankles and falls). Beau had already built and hung on the porch a marvelous sculpture of six tetrahedron and encircling copper wire.
He decided to harness the airspace above the courtyard, and hang his sculpture, centered above Dave's planter. Beau had already harvested a broken mirror, and began to put it all together. See it Now.

Another nice section of our backyard. The tree is very cool - great shade - but apparently it drops its leaves like crazy in a month or two. I'm not looking forward to that....
We took out a very large Brazilian pepper tree, which blocked out most of the sun and kept the grass from growing. So now it's time to decide on what to do with this patch of dirt.
Just recieved my new strobe/flashes and my fiance reluctantly was my test model.

As far as you can see....this morning we took the dogs to the beach and afterwards went kayaking - what fun!
This afternoon was a lazy couple of hours to enjoy the yard and the beautiful weather....I did something I rarely do....sit still and smell the roses and read a book.

I'm doing a SoFoBoMo project, since the PAW didn't work out. I'm gonna try to finish this one! The goal is to take 35 photos in one month and make a book. It's hard, but I think I can do it :)
I started today so I will be finishing the project june 13th. I sort of picked the theme and it is diptych. Like it?
These are not particularly good photos, but they are taken in one of my favorite places in ReykjavÃk, a backyard near to my apartment. Summer's here, I've finished my exams, I can go for a walk with my camera as much as I want :) This is my first try, I will get better :)
