April is Autism Awareness Month and April 2nd is World Autism Day. Research shows that 1 in 68 children are born with autism today. The SMILES FOUNDATION Team and IBM ODC volunteers, lead by D.R.Mallikarjuna, created Autism Awareness posters and launched Austism Awareness Month with a workshop on 2nd April World Autism Day. At the same time, www.autism.school (Autism Education & Awareness Portal) and www.autismhelp.in (Autism Information Webchannel) were launched to support parents as part of social responsibility.
World Autism Awareness Day Melbourne walk and balloon release. 1 April 2012, A 1.2km walk along the Yarra River finishing at Birrarung Marr where the balloons were released. Declan Sykes, X Factor contestant provided entertainment after the walk.
Mr. John Fasulo taught a Mine Awareness Class on Fort A.P. Hill today, May 3, 2017 for Garrison staff, to thank them for their many years of support.

Students engaged in a lesson of self-reflection and the importance of education, as well as loving themselves and loving others, and how it prevents violence.
