Illinois Motorcycle Awareness Press Event. April 28, 2010 at Frieze Harley-Davidson in O'Fallon, Illinois.

TCR students, staff, PTO members along with Board of Education Commissioner Paul Perreira took to the streets in a healthy 5k walk to further breast cancer awareness. Reilly's favorite color, pink accessories were used in TCR'S annual fundraiser to collect $1000 for breast cancer research.

"Awareness" was inspired by Dorothy Koppen. Dorothy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2006 and is continuing her battle. She has remained optimistic and has a strength that is indescribable. Dorothy continues to carry on life and takes the cancer as just a challenge that will make her that much stronger.

In the wake of recent hit and runs, both pedestrian and vehicle, cyclist and vehicle collisions, Gov. Brown signs Gatto's bill to create hit and run driver alerts.

Ryan McNamara does not own a car and commutes throughout the Los Angeles area via bicycle. McNamara has had many friends who have been victims of hit and run accidents, some resulted in death. McNamara is an advocate for cyclists and pedestrian awareness.

Nice display in the center of my town for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The Fredericksburg, VA AIDS Awareness Walk & Run was held at the Cannon Ridge Golf Course in Fredericksburg, VA on June 26, 2010. This is a photo I captured at the event.

 

Proceeds from the charity walk/run event will support Home Of Miracles and Embraces (HOME) to be used to assist children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and other prevention and Intervention initiatives regarding the myths and truths of HIV/AIDS throughout our communities.

The entrepreneurship awareness camp, inauguration started with one minute silent prayer in fount memory of our founder chairman Shri. P.K.Das and function begins with prayer song and lighting the lamp by all the dignitaries on the dice and two student participants.

 

Dr. T Ambikadevi Amma, The Principal, Nehru College of Engineering and Research centre, delivered the welcome address followed by presidential address to the gathering.

 

Shri. G.Pranap, Assistant District Industries Officer, Government of kerala, inaugurated the function and delivered the Speech of motivation to the students.

 

Dr.K.Vijayakumar ,Director – NCP &IR delivered the speech on importance of organizing EAC and felicitates the gathering.

 

Shri. Antony Richard M delivered the vote of thanks and the function was concluded with the National Anthem.

Historical Background- Entrepreneurship and present scenario

 

He started with excellent motivational videos and power point presentations on becoming successful entrepreneurs. He conveyed to the students to focus on long term vision rather than short term success, which has made the students to think beyond the boundaries. He talked about the program objective to create awareness among students of engineering and science courses about various facts of entrepreneurship as an alternative career option as also to highlight the merits of pursuing such an option.

 

Identification of Opportunities

 

Shri.G.Pranp aspire us with his valuable thoughts about future India. Through dozens of video presentations, he narrated the stories of famous entrepreneurs from India. He said that Entrepreneur’s contribution to the economy is of immense value. He or she is indispensable to the economic growth of the country. His or her products are valuable to the overall development of the society. People need their products. They simply cannot do without them.

 

An entrepreneur is someone who recognizes a business opportunity and organizes, manages, and assumes the risks of starting a business. Entrepreneurs face many challenges. However, those who succeed see many rewards.

 

The experiences shared by some of the established entrepreneurs from kerala gave an idea on: who is an entrepreneur? What is entrepreneurship? How to become an entrepreneur?. The host shared few of his experiences he had while studying his engineering. The session helped students to mentally prepare for becoming an entrepreneur. He pointed out that all the successful personalities had one thing in common. It was desire dreams and hard work towards their dreams. He added a quote that “you dream big and follow our dream”. And motivated the students that many times in life when we feel like giving up but it is important to recognize that when we have a goal, it is unusual to accomplish it on the first.

 

He explained about the role of industrial department. He concluded with a thought that “If you don't build your dream someone will hire you to help build theirs.”

Financial Aspects of SSI unit

 

Shri.Rajan sleeba ,Regional head , Dhanalakshmi Bank, explained about the financial aspects of SSI unit. He said that 'finance is the life-blood' of any industry. Like other industries small-scale and tiny units also require money for meeting various expenses. Most of the entrepreneurs or artisans in this sector are economically weak. "They are poorly placed in the matter of capital formation as they are not in a position to plough back much into the business because of limited profits."

 

Lecture - 3: Shri. Pratab Chandran

 

Support and Financial assistance from govt. agencies,banks, etc.

 

Shri.Pratab chandran,Regional sales manager , Dhanalakshmi Bank, explained different schemes for financial support. He further explained the MUDRA scheme Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Ltd. [MUDRA] is an NBFC supporting development of micro enterprise sector in the country. MUDRA provides refinance support to Banks / MFIs for lending to micro units having loan requirement upto 10 lakh. MUDRA provides refinance to micro business under the Scheme of Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana. The other products are for development support to the sector. The bouquet of offerings of MUDRA is depicted below. The offerings are being targeted across the spectrum of beneficiary segments.
