Yet another "Warmoth Wednesday" submission. Me in Dad Shorts holding my Soloist.

The front of the Ibanez Edge tremolo. Cool logo and I really dig the spring retainer.

Is it me, or is it bent a little on the right side?

Retrieving Mother

Dharma waits patiently in the back of the car as we wait for Julie.

Chris came over to clear the clog in Julie's shower then we did an impromptu Facebook Live broadcast. It was awesome.

Here is how the Hologram Glitter looks after drying nearly 12 hours.

Rehearsal

Just another day with Distorted Silence rehearsal thrown in to mix things up.

Shot of a familiar face on the Alaska Airlines building near SeaTac. Captured with iPhone 8.

Clean Gun

Alec and I finally sat down to field strip and clean my Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0. It was a nice bonding experience. Alec cleaned all of his handguns while I cleaned my one handgun!

Julie worked a 16-hour shift and we had Rooster's for dinner. It was from the Olentangy River Rd location since the 161 location was closed for cleaning.

Lap Dog

I had a late lunch at BW-3.

We got Hunan House for dinner.

The bridge arrived today! Back from Adam at FU-Tone. He "machined" the bridge so the holes lined up better. I returned an unused Vintage Strat Brass Block so he felt like he should give me something in exchange. So, I got a pack of strings, extra picks, and Lizard Spit products! Thanks, Adam! \m/

I just hit it a little more since the first coat seemed so good.

No Drinking

Julie and I went to India Oak for a late lunch. Earlier she asked if we could "not drink for a while". She ordered lemonade & vodka so I had a couple beers. You know...not drinking.

We went grocery shopping before lunch. We got steaks, corn on the cob, and asparagus for dinner.

Save Ferris

Tonight was my second patio gig at Local Roots with the Tim Farrel Band. We did a lot better than last time but there is still room for improvement.

This is the scene that greeted me outside a window.

Even late at night, this place comprised of numerous food stalls is still busy and vibrant, with many customers looking for delicious yet affordable food.

Woodshedding

Since I will be playing in the "house band" on Thursday, I need to bone up on songs I think I know and learn a few that I don't know.

Harper is not impressed.

Jason and Tony came over to jam today. I let Jason play through all of my tube amps and speaker cabinets. Tony brought more drums and drum stuff so he set up while Jason tested amps. We went to Roosters for lunch then came back and jammed a few tunes.

I am working on Distorted Silence songs in the kitchen.

Today is Lee's 36th birthday!

I didn't lose even 2 lbs. No more Steak Days.

Open Stage House Band

Today we had Dharma spayed.

We found that The Half Pint in Worthington is not open for lunch so we ended up at Borgata again.

Then Hell Week continued with an Open Stage gig at Last Call!

Gig Time

This is Rico and I before our gig tonight.

Once again I was wearing Fender playing a Fender at Fenders.

Earlier today I met Jason and Tony at Beechwold Diner. We had lunch and talked about jamming.

It almost looks like just any white Fender Stratocaster...

Pickguard Replacement

I installed the new custom pickguard today. Earlier, I stopped by his shop and gave him some money for the rotary switch.

Still Cool

Dr. Taj called me today and said that I tested positive for COVID-19! What?! I only got the test to ensure Julie that I was fine, now I have it?! Dr. Taj said that the "good news" is that my quarantine is only 10 days instead of 14 and my Day 1 was Friday like Julie's.

I guess I will do the clinical trial, too!

Covered

I am cleaning my bathroom.

Rehearsal

Another Distorted Silence rehearsal today. We received $150 each for last week's Last Call gig! We worked on "Unsung" by Helmet and talked a lot about reorganizing our set list. It also appears that Simon is coming back and interested in playing bass for the band again. I threw out the idea of them staying a four piece and I would gracefully bow out but they seemed to ignore that and insist I get back on guitar. I tried.

Ghost Josh is watching you!

Video Editing

I am at TC's to edit video for Doc's birthday. We have submissions from three different groups in Doc's life: friends and neighbors, former co-workers, and former students. TC had all the submissions categorized so it was a matter of putting them all together. We have to get it done by Wednesday. I'm an audio guy not a video guy! Why am I editing this?! Oh yea, I know the software. Well, I know the software better now!

Mandatory Masks

The Mayor of Columbus made wearing masks in public mandatory when "social distancing" rules would not be possible. Of course, many businesses have been requiring masks for a while. Chipotle is one of those.

Friday Flanger Fun

There are a few tunes in the Open Stage House Band set list that need a flanger and "She Sells Sanctuary" in 4 Finger Shot. So, I pulled out the two flangers I have to see which sounds best. They both sound good but the Ibanez Paul Gilbert Airplane Flanger is huge. Regardless, both of them seem to give me a volume increase when the pedal is engaged. Not cool.
