A most strange and peculiar scene, where the setting sun shines brightly while rain also occurs at the same time.

The guitar is equipped with three Duncan Designed HR-101 "Hotrail" pickups. I will replace them with genuine Duncan Hotrails eventually.
Haircut
Julie cut my hair this morning. She is silly.
I have my first gig of 2018 (with Shakin' and Stirred) tonight so she doesn't want me looking terrible.
I went into work late this morning because...
Bass in Blue
Tonight I had a gig with the Alan Carl Band! I sort of thought Alan gave up on me and then he hit me up earlier this week about doing the gig Friday. I had a cram all day to learn a few songs and was working with Logan all day long on the set list.
I also talked to Jerome about getting 4 Finger Shot in Fenders.
The GTI is still not done so I will hold on to the Malibu all weekend.
Deepak and I had a quick happy hour after work.
Working
What's wrong with a little guitar while working from home?
I made and posted my first #BoogieInPlace picture with my Single Rectifier on top of my Avatar cabinet.
We had Panera for lunch and dinner today.
@estuaryconraddc 🙌 ―the #cookiesandcream 💣 is for serious sugar lovers only; I prefer salt & savory instead
Distortion Fun and Amp Trouble
I thought I'd play through the Wampler Dracarys distortion pedal for fun today but the Blues Junior started acting up. Its like the signal just drops and breaks up a little bit while I am playing. Bad tube maybe? I messaged Rob so I will take it to him for a once-over.
Julie worked at the Convalarium of Dublin today so I took her to Texas Roadhouse when she was done.

Fail?
This is where my 365 project may be flawed. Does my shadow count as being in the picture?
Julie and ran errands then went to JT's Pizza for lunch.
Tonight I had a gig with Tim at Flanagan's. Tomorrow is his 36th birthday so it was a birthday celebration for him. I accepted no pay or tips in honor for his birthday. What I was unsure of that night was this would probably be my last gig with TIm. It was certainly my last gig of 2019.
T-n-T at Robey's
Tonight was my first acoustic gig of 2018. We had a couple rough patches but it was the biggest crowd I have ever experienced at Robey's.
Earlier we dropped off our rings at Jared's to get rhodium plated and inspected.
Today was our first dog obedience class with Harper. Garth is amazing! 5 more weeks of this...
I bought the guitar yesterday (8/12/2019).
It came with the original hardshell case (M100C) which contained all the "case candy" including the original receipt!
A variation on one of my pictures, Golden Light.
For this picture, I had wanted to do something a little more different than what I would usually do. As such, I had gone for a more powerful and expressive filter which highlights and emphasizes the brightness of the setting sun.

Bass Mods
I replaced the pickups on my Fender American Performer Precision Bass today. I took advantage of the upgrades to get pictures of the date stamps on the neck and the body. This neck was made June 22, 2019.
Earlier I picked up the Stingray from Dave Bush. He is a master!
Julie and I ended up at Champp's for dinner. It wasn't packed and it was pretty good! They had some Valentine's Day specials we took advantage of.
Picking Up Mom
The dogs ride with me to pick up Julie from work.
Otherwise, it was another work from home day.
Sunday Jam
Tony came over to jam today. Jason wasn't able to make it so it was just the two of us. We went over some jazz progressions, total improvisations, and a song I wrote back in the late 1980s. I recorded everything.
Earlier I edited more of the videos from last week.
Podcasting At Home
TC had Julia meet us at my house to record her new bits for the next season of Moving Music. We also interviewed her a bit for our Retrospective episode.
The search for a refrigerator continues. Tonight we went to the Lowe's on Silver Drive (where Laurie works) to see some models that other stores don't have in stock. This search has been crazy.
Even during cloudy weather, the setting sun manages to produce a bright shining light.

Star Wars
It was Ty Time Sunday so I went to see Star Wars Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker.
After the movie I met Ric and Scott at Classics.
Woodshedding
I am running through all of the songs on the Tim Ferral Band list in preparation for tomorrow's rehearsal. James Taylor, America, and Little River band (to name a few) have some intriquite bass lines!
I also got some more Scott's EZ Seed for the yard and reattached the north west downspout.
Lounging
I got kind of hammered last night. Somehow I lost my debit card.
I went back to Last Call in case my card was still there but it wasn't. I did find my Ween mask in the parking lot.
I went to Skyline Chili for lunch but couldn't finish my order.
Julie and I went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.

Beer
I am at BW-3 having dinner before my gig with Jon Anthony & Wishful Drinking at Lazy Chameleon. This is my first gig with them on bass. I think I'm ready.
I still made some blunders on stage but for the most part the gig went great. Everyone seemed happy with me.
Podcast Sunday
We are recording Bill Foley's second podcast interview for Moving Music. This time he selected the movie "Glory" and he performed an original piece for The Harker Segment. It was a great interview!
