Due to the recent developments to Flickr, I have decided that I will limit my participation in this website, as I no longer see it to be sustainable in the long run for my needs.
Nonetheless, I thank everyone for supporting me and my photography work.
I will keep the account open for communication purposes and for creative inspiration, but I will no longer add new pictures or update any content once it has reached 250 photos, or a quarter of my maximum image limit.

Check Yes Or No
This is the most awesome beer koozie ever! Not only is it funny the side where my hand is has very strong magnets so it can be stuck to anything metal. We were at KFos & Michele's to let their dogs out and we just stuck around until KFos got home then we had a couple beers with her. This is their koozie.
Pickguard Replacement
I installed the new custom pickguard today. Earlier, I stopped by his shop and gave him some money for the rotary switch.
Still Cool
Dr. Taj called me today and said that I tested positive for COVID-19! What?! I only got the test to ensure Julie that I was fine, now I have it?! Dr. Taj said that the "good news" is that my quarantine is only 10 days instead of 14 and my Day 1 was Friday like Julie's.
I guess I will do the clinical trial, too!
Rehearsal
Another Distorted Silence rehearsal today. We received $150 each for last week's Last Call gig! We worked on "Unsung" by Helmet and talked a lot about reorganizing our set list. It also appears that Simon is coming back and interested in playing bass for the band again. I threw out the idea of them staying a four piece and I would gracefully bow out but they seemed to ignore that and insist I get back on guitar. I tried.
Video Editing
I am at TC's to edit video for Doc's birthday. We have submissions from three different groups in Doc's life: friends and neighbors, former co-workers, and former students. TC had all the submissions categorized so it was a matter of putting them all together. We have to get it done by Wednesday. I'm an audio guy not a video guy! Why am I editing this?! Oh yea, I know the software. Well, I know the software better now!
Mandatory Masks
The Mayor of Columbus made wearing masks in public mandatory when "social distancing" rules would not be possible. Of course, many businesses have been requiring masks for a while. Chipotle is one of those.
Friday Flanger Fun
There are a few tunes in the Open Stage House Band set list that need a flanger and "She Sells Sanctuary" in 4 Finger Shot. So, I pulled out the two flangers I have to see which sounds best. They both sound good but the Ibanez Paul Gilbert Airplane Flanger is huge. Regardless, both of them seem to give me a volume increase when the pedal is engaged. Not cool.
Reflection
Jeff said he wants me to sing some Gavin DeGraw so I am doing some research. "How Lucky Can A Man Get" and "Heartbreak" are promising as far as songs I think I could play and sing at the same time.
Rehearsal
I had once again planned on making my "before & after" video about the Blue Junior modifications. But, I putzed around all morning then got lunch. Just as I was finishing lunch Tim texted me seeing what was going on and wondering if I could come over to rehearse and maybe get some pictures. So, that's what I did!
We ran through quite a few songs to add and were able to get a few good pictures to get us started in 2018.
I am in Tim's basement here.
Today's Weight: 177.5lbs
A version of one of my pictures, A Sea of Gray, taken with my phone instead of with my camera.
For this version, I have gone for a warmer overall tone, more different from what I had originally seen.

The cloudy weather and the tinted window where I shot this through had given everything a cool, bluish quality

Rao's
Julie asked me to take a picture of the Rao's Arrabbiata sauce to send to her mom. This is the base sauce we use when we make pasta.
We only left the house to walk the dogs today.
As the sun begins to set, it takes on a yellow-colored hue, basking the entire surroundings in a yellow light.

Ying-Yang
Today was a clinical trial check-in. They take blood, swab our noses, check our vitals. We have been swabbing ourselves every day along with logging our temperatures.
Still Not Hot
I guess I'm a little cooler than normal.
I had BW-3 for lunch and we had Chipotle for dinner.
Crazy Eyes in the Kitchen
We bought a refrigerator today. I was approved for a Lowe's credit card so we settled on a French Door Frigidaire. I just don't like the font panel ice/water dispenser area, otherwise it's fine.
This is the bottom of the board that will mount against the enclosure. Everything is installed so it is time to wire it to jacks.
Space Mask
We met Alec & Kristine at Bru Burger for lunch. It was Julie and my first time there. I liked it.
Julie's mask order showed up today. This is the one she got for me. These are nice. They have filters, moldable noses, and the ear strings are adjustable.
New Shirt
Julie cut my hair this morning. Then we went to Home Depot to get some mulch. My shirt got very dirty loading mulch into the car so we stopped at Target and I got this shirt then changed in the car.
We went to lunch at Winking Lizard
Draft Day
FSFL 2020 Draft Day.
Distorted Silence played Fenders tonight. I finally nailed down a couple dates for 4 Finger Shot with Jerome. Not cool to do while at another band's gig but oh well. I was on guitar tonight for the first time since August of 2018.
I concocted a makeshift spray booth using a cardboard box. In hindsight, I should have left the top on, ventilated the box with a filter, and had a lazy Susan pedestal. Then again, when am I ever going to use spray paint in the basement? The only reason I am doing this is because it is way too cold outside or in the garage and the basement is going to be renovated soon so any overspray will not matter.
Rehearsal
We rehearsed with Josh tonight for the first time in over a year. It was also our first rehearsal since March 9th! It was so nice playing music with Josh again.
He has asthma so he said he would be wearing a mask to and from rehearsal but not while in place or playing. We all kept 6 feet of distance while we played but put masks on at the end. It was ripe for a picture.
The Celestion Vintage 30 speaker I ordered from Avatar arrived today. I will do some speaker comparisons with the Marshall 1936 cabinet soon.
Today was a steak day for me.
Slide
I am working on the slide part of "Free Bird". I am having troubles figuring out which slide is best for me.
It was the buildup of ice and snow on my wheels from the snow yesterday that was throwing my wheels out of balance. A quick wiping of the inside rims fixed the issue. I wish I would have known that last night!
Shakin' and Stirred at Fenders
Look at the bags under my eyes! WTF!
This is me and Steve at Fenders for our Shakin' and Stirred gig. Julie didn't come tonight. Mary Gilmore was there, Steve Albanese was there, Scott Hoover was there, Mark Brennan was there, and Will Newsome was there. Will bought Steve and I a few shots but it is his birthday tomorrow. Shouldn't we have bought him shots? Regardless, it was a good gig.
Harper's third class was today. We are half way through!
