These cake looking cheese appetizers are my invention. Maybe someone else made something similar?

First are gouda and prague ham layered and "glued" with cream cheese, second row is made from round shaped sliced cheese filled with spicy pepperoni cream cheese and dusted with ground pepper and chillies, third row is made with edam cheese filled with cream cheese and cut whalnuts.

Curried beef bulgogi on pate brisee; baked avocado with lobster and sauce Mornay

The female owl was sitting in a tree near the box when I went down to see them this morning. Then she turned away to her right, and in a few seconds she landed on the ground about 20 feet from me. When she took off, she had her catch with her... Looks like an earthworm. She did not care about me being almost under the box, she took her catch to the owlets.

Portuguese: Garibaldi, dó-ré-mi, pássaro-do-arroz, papa-arroz (Natal/Rio Grande do Norte), chupim-do-nabo, chapéu-de-couro (São Paulo), casaca (Piauí), corda-negra (Pernambuco, agreste e sertão da Paraíba), rinchão, godelo e melro baiano (Minas Gerais).

I left the bin of celery on the floor and - shock! - Derby sniffed it out!

Okay! I've cheated just a little bit with them eyes (PS) all the rest is me own make up. For someone who doesn't watch Horror or Zombie movies, I sure get off on getting in touch with that element within me. Getting it on for the annual Toronto Zombie Walk 2007.

My wife and I went out for steak, sans children, this evening and had this wonderful appetizer (they called them Firecracker Chicken Wraps). I thought they were very good.

Small appetizer.

 

A creamy herb cheese, Scottish smoked salmon cut into very thin strip, some finely chopped chives on top and a few drops of cream.

Very simple to make and very delicious.

Whitefish livers dusted with cornmeal and sauteed with red and green bell peppers, mushrooms and onions

 

Whitefish livers are considered a delicacy in the Bayfield Wisconsin area. This was the first time that I had ever tried this. Before my appetizer arrived i was wondering what the taste would be like. The only other livers i had ever eaten before was chicken and beef. I was thinking that the taste would be similar

 

I was impressed with the taste of these! It had a very creamy and buttery texture and tasted a lot like fried fish. There were no mineraly tastes that you can get off of other livers. These were quite delicate, I highly reccomend trying this if you ever get the oppertunity
