Whether it’s an artful presentation or a unique combination of flavors, many of our clients like to shake things up a little - but don’t worry, we don’t stray too far out there. You might be surprised by one of our dishes, but you’ll also be saying how good it was!

This appetizer platter is always exquisite and worth the price! They serve this dish with 2 spring rolls/"gỏi cuốn", 2 Vietnamese egg rolls, 4 gyoza/pot stickers, 4 shrimp dynamite (which consists of shrimp and cheese), and a cabbage salad.

 

It always winds up being too much for Ethan and I, but it's so hard to turn down!

You might be surprised by one of our dishes, but you’ll also be saying how good it was!

Made from buckwheat dough, these tasty crackers were freshly fried for our snacking pleasure. Besides being nutty in flavour and super crunchy, they were in an assortment of aesthetically pleasing shapes and sizes, some even topped with dehulled buckwheat kernels or a perfect cilantro leaf. I found the stringy noodles fun to munch on. The accompanying miso dipping sauce was a sweet, viscous paste dotted with parboiled (I think) buckwheat kernels. I enjoyed this and thought it would probably be a suitable accompaniment as bar food (to go with beer instead of beer nuts or pretzels. I wonder if this is common in Japan?). :)

Milwaukee County Zoo, with 11 incredible indoor and outdoor event spaces, the Milwaukee County Zoo is a unique venue to host both casual and formal occasions. Events can be held in animal exhibits, at outdoor picnic areas, or in one of the Zoo’s dedicated indoor gathering places.

Long glass appetizer tray

A wonderful Maddux appetizer tray with four compartments and a handle. This is 15" across the long way. This is symetrical with all four bowls being the same size - the perspective of the picture does the distortion.

 

The detail of the edge is as intricate as any we have seen for this purpose - sort of a fish-scale design.

 

This appears to have never been used (certainly not abused).

We went on a night tour of Tokyo with dinner for our first evening. Here are our appetizers. I would add notes but mostly we had no idea what anything was. It was all either tasty or intriguing though.
