The front guide rail is held in the frame by a compression spring, if this was a locking key bank, this would be the locking mechanism. I removed it so that it would not fall apart in storage and the spring get lost.
It is now fitted to the mechanism using the new bush. Tests showed it now correctly engages in all modes.

I was listening to a recent episode (8th Sept '09) of The Best Show and the photographer / actress Lisa Jane Persky was in-studio taking pictures. I thought that it sounded like a fun idea so got in touch with my friend Kirsty and asked if I could sit in during the weekly radio show she does with Kev. I was very kindly granted access and spent 2 hours trying to move around as quietly as possible, it was very hard not to laugh. Many thanks to Kirsty and Kev for being such good sports and to HCR for letting me through the door.
I've driven by this church almost every day for the past 3 years and have observed these door handles... I love the symbolism of the cross opening the door to the church...
