This is a post to answer a question from a fellow Fickrer - SenorPep

He asked if a flash will work with a converted IR camera...the answer is yes...you have to adjust your f-stop/ISO/speed correctly and you will get some interesting shots...

Here is the same shot as the previous image but w/o flashes involved....notice the colors and skin have different textures....

These pictures were shot with a converted a100 to an IR 680nm filter…using a Minolta 35-70 f4 macro lens….flashes are Sigma DG 500 Super and DG 530 Super on the camera pointed away from the subject as the commander….ISO 200 – f4 – 1/80 – No - flashes…

I am a huge fan of the All Access Ship Tour and this was the second time I have done this. I will definitely do it again. We had the Tour on February 20th, 2020 and Tyler (a member of the Shore Excursions Team from Canada) was a great guide. We all wore earpieces to hear the speakers at every stop. Here is the description of the tour: "Discover the answers to a question we get asked on every voyage, ā€œHow does a ship so big run so smoothly?ā€ Find out on a behind-the-scenes tour that reveals the technology, teamwork, and tons of supplies that go into creating your Celebrity Cruise. Start in the Main Dining Room with a little hands-on lesson from the staff, and then, visit the Main Galley to see how our culinary team artfully prepares about 25,000 meals for our guests and crew each and every day. It’s an impressive achievement, especially when you think about all the exotic flavors you get to enjoy in Modern Luxury style aboard your Celebrity Cruise ship. Next up, pop into provisioning for a jaw-dropping look at the sheer volume of ingredients it takes to make it all happen. Here’s a little preview. We go through roughly 8,500 lbs of watermelon on every cruise. Not to mention, 10,000 bananas and 32,000 potatoes (give or take a few). Continue to the Engine Control Room, where expert engineers monitor the ship’s engines and onboard machinery - 24/7. You’ll learn how the engines do more than turn the giant props. They power all our onboard systems, including air-conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing and many others. This is the heart and soul of the cruise ship and you’ll enjoy a rare up-close look at how it operates. Afterwards, go for stroll down I-95, the ā€œmain highwayā€ for the crew. It runs down the center of the ship and is named after the longest highway on the U.S. East Coast. Your next stop is Laundry, where thousands of items are cleaned and crisply folded every day– napkins to linens to beach towels. Marvel at massive machines that can hold 264 lbs. of laundry in every load. To put that in perspective, it’s like doing 14 loads of laundry in your machine at home all at once. The tour concludes with a real treat – a visit to the Bridge, where all the ship’s onboard systems are controlled. Step up and witness advanced navigation and communications equipment in action, and scan the sea from the same vantage point your Captain uses to chart the way. If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to run a cruise ship, this inside access tour provides plenty of answers, great insight, and a whole lot of excitement." On board the Celebrity Equinox for Seth's Big Fat Broadway Cruise from February 15th to the 22nd, 2020. The itinerary includes stops in San Juan (Puerto Rico), Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands), Tortola (British Virgin Islands), Nassau (Bahamas) before returning to Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). The best part is that we are on Seth's Big Fat Broadway Cruise again!

A converging–diverging nozzle is designed to operate with an exit Mach number of M = 2.25. It is fed by a large chamber of oxygen at 15.0 psia and 600°R and exhausts into the room at 14.7 psia. Assuming the losses to be negligible, compute the velocity in the nozzle throat.

TQ Construction will be releasing a series of short, informative videos ā€œTQ Answersā€ over the next few weeks with Henri Belisle in-part with Masi Bardi agent with Oakwyn Realty Downtown Vancouver. Enjoy our first one and leave us some comments!

It’s been a fun week. Almost got canned. Got a ā€œtalkingā€ to twice in one day last week. Once from my new supervisor. The other from a REGIONAL Ops. Manager that was here helping while ours was out.

Apparently my internet usage is being monitored. They have also noticed my lack of motivation & un-happiness. I told them the truth. I am not motivated. I am not happy. I TRIED to explain my reasoning, but they did not ā€œhearā€ me. They listened, but none of it seemed to make a difference to them. She wants me to start doing all the duties that they just took from me and gave to someone else that recently started. I also, explained that to them. They didn’t care.

She wants me to make my position my specialty. My baby.

IT HAS BEEN!!! For TWO years!!

ā€œAnyone who has a question on this should think of you first to be, ā€˜The one to go toā€™ā€.

THEY DO ALREADY!!!

ā€œYou made this really great Spreadsheet/checklist, you have potentialā€

You have NO IDEA!!! WOOHOO!! A FUCKING CHECKLIST!! I FEEL SPECIAL!!! I was just trying to keep myself from having to correct too many screw-up’s from other’s work. At least once a day I hear someone say to me, ā€œWhat would we do without you!?ā€ I guess the answer is, ā€œYou would wait AT LEAST four hours for a call back from the retards at the helpdesk, you would have to wait for someone else to figure out the answer to something you probably should have know to begin with. All in all, you’d be FUCKED!!ā€

How am I supposed to be motivated when I have HAD TO move my damn cubicle over ten times in two years??!! Only one person here comes close to having that many moves…I started before her btw, she gets to move up and onward. Not me. Otherwise I would be fine with it. I didn’t get my 30 cent raise this year. You want me to take initiative?? You want me to be happy that my previous ā€œSupervisorā€ still managed to fuck me over months AFTER he left for my raise this year??? You want me to be motivated to do things when I have been given a boat load of shit to do and then you dwindle my responsibilities down to nothing?? You want me to be motivated to do OTHER’S jobs?? Isn’t that what I have a job title for??? It’s not OB!!! But that’s not being a ā€œTeam Playerā€ā€¦

In the past, I have been given so much to handle that I have been busy every second of the day, told that they are going to ā€œre-adjustā€ the work load, which never happened…well I guess it did, they took me completely off that with no warning. No, ā€œHey you need to improve on this.ā€ Or, ā€œYou’re not doing that up to our standards.ā€ Just, ā€œDid you hear??ā€ Yeah I no longer have this one or two people to take care of…then suddenly the next day the revised list comes out & instead of the revision I was expecting, they revised it to not include me at all!!! ā€œOh, well we are moving you back to doing this. And by the way, your going to have to move your cube again.ā€ FREGGIN SWEET!!! Glad I didn’t respond to all on that email saying, ā€œMy name isn’t Robertā€. Give me something!! Why am I the only one you jack around like this??

Head this up with no feedback…Oh your going to be doing this from now on….No wait, now your doing this. Here’s barely anything to do. Motivates me SOOO much. I wonder what I will be doing next month??? Maybe it will be back to everything cause right now they have me doing nothing….then a few more months it will be right back to nothing. I used to love my job. Used to….

I HATE being OB!!!!!

So your’s truly will not be here nearly as much as I used to. I am going through withdraws!!!! I can access Flickr on my phone but have no access to groups or flickrmail. So I will be there every once and awhile, but it just sucks that way. I guess I will have to make myself ANOTHER new computer fund.

If you are marked as a friend, you can view my email address through my profile. Till then….

Sometime after her marriage to a much older man, Lizbeth began to worry when no baby got started. Tests showed that her husband was "almost" sterile. Several years of prayer and the miracle - a healthy baby boy. He is 22 days old in this picture and is already holding up his head and pushing to get closer to Mommy.
