Answer 2: No, I really don't fear change... I'm actually changing my life drasticly this year and I'm very excited about that! I need change to make sure I don't get bored. I don't think I will ever be affraid of change.

Karly and Michael were awesome to photograph. They didn't mind the wind or cold when I suggested we go outside to take some night shots.

"Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer."

Who else, but Rilke?!?

We had an adventure sort of afternoon. Mum's birthday request this year was no gifts, but 54 adventures. Today was one such adventure. Nature preserve, we had never been to, here we come! We easily could have gotten lost meandering the field like trails and at one point it felt as though we were walking in circles. I found myself stopping and wondering who had walked here a hundred years ago when it was a real forest, unfound and untouched by man yet. I watched Z and TeTe so obviously in love and wondered at what bright future awaits them (the announcement was made at church today...so now I can tell everyone!!!!). I sat next to Mum on a bench in the midst of 'Lost Acres Trail' and I wondered what grandchildren and growing old will be like; scary, new, and sweet all at the same time? Pie kept catching my attention with little things and I wondered about him too; his big questions and his refusal to waste time on small talk when life needs made full by more and more and more words. Of course I wonder about myself, selfishly more than I dwell on the others...

presumably something to do with the drift

Before a race my mind becomes this whirlwind mass full of uncertainty, nerves, and fear; only to be relieved when I see my horse cross the wire. Every race where the horses, and riders come home safely is an answered prayer to me. When one of my horses romps home victorious amongst a field of competitors, I feel this overwhelming sense of God's presence that nearly brings me to tears as the horses fly past the eighth pole.

Pursuit 2: Aperture

Choose an aperture on purpose. Be it that you want to have a wide open aperture (low number - example f/5.6) and have a shallow depth of field, or a narrow aperture (larger number - example f/22) for a greater depth of field. Choose your subject and tell us about how and why you made your choice.

WIT: Here is a picture of grade 7 math homework (place value unit). I used a shallow depth of field to isolate the answer. I like the angles in the picture and how if you look hard enough, the calculator matches the answer.

In post, I did a levels adjustment and cropped to square.

This is a book I found in the apartment called Love's Book of Answers. Inside it gives these instructions on how to use it: "Hold the book closed & concentrate on a question, a closed-ended question for 15 secs. Stroke the edges of the pages, front to back, when you sense that the time is right open the book & there will be your answer. Repeat."

Taken at Brush Hill Church I couldn't help but think of farmers of the congregation that came and prayed for a good crop to carry them through the next year and feeling to be at the mercy of GOD. And then by this time of year being grateful for such a bountiful crop as seen through this window from their pew.
