Later, in order to answer a request from the DGAC (Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile, the French civil aviation authority), Dassault proposed a Mercure equipped with a new engine developed by General Electric/Snecma called the CFM-56; this version came to be known as the Mercure 200. In 1975, contacts were made with Douglas and Lockheed to build and sell the Mercure 200 in the US, and with SNIAS to build it in France. But Marcel Dassault was concerned about the fact that the CFM-56 had not had a single order yet, and might cease to be produced before the Mercure 200 could be built. Meanwhile, Douglas introduced a stretched version of the DC-9, which was in direct competition for orders with the Mercure 200. Contacts with Douglas logically ended at that point. Dassault then initiated contacts with General Dynamics, its primary competitor on the military jet market where the Mirage F1 was facing the F-16 Fighting Falcon.[citation needed] But nothing would come out of these contacts

This is a photograph from the 5th annual Clongowes 5KM road race and fun run which was held at Clongowes Wood College, Clane, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 20th March 2016 at 11:00. The race is held annually as a fundraiser in aid of Clane Athletic Club and the Order of Malta International Camp and Lourdes fund. The weather was very good for road running. A cold dry crisp spring morning with clear skies and little wind. The race starts within the grounds of Clongowes Wood College at the Gold Course Side. The race proceeds out the golf course exit onto the Clane Kilcock road (the R407) and heads towards Kilcock. At the next junction (Borehole Cross) the course then takes a left and heads towards Prosperous village on the R408 known locally as 'the straight road'. About 1KM after the turn the course turns left in Ballynaboley and makes its way along a small boreen road which brings runners to join up again with the Clane Kilcock road. The race then runs right towards Clane and soon the runners see the famous landmark of the gates of the entrance to Clongowes Wood College. There is about a 400m straight stretch down the avenue to the finish as runners look down the straight avenue to the finish and the backdrop of the historic college buildings. Overall the course is flat and fast with a small incline over the first 2KM before the race turns off the Clane-Kilcock road.
The race is supported by Clane Athletic Club which is one of Ireland's newest athletic clubs. The club was reformed in 2012 with the principal aim of promoting athletics for all ages in the village of Clane and surrounding areas.
The grounds of the college provide a historically significant backdrop to the race. The school can trace its history back to a large estate owned by a local family in the 1400s. The estate became a school in the 1800s. While Clongowes is well known in the educational domain it is also well known for its strong history in schools rugby union. Today Clongowes Wood college is a voluntary secondary boarding school for boys.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. While scoping out downtown Asheville for photo opportunities, I came across this street performer just across Patton Avenue in the personae of a more progressive interpretation of the Biblical Moses. Rather than brandishing tablets with the universally accepted Ten Commandants, he merely advertised one simple message of sage advice: “Love is the answer.”
I spoke with the busker briefly, in between taking photos of him waving the peace sign to passersby on Biltmore and Broadway. He revealed to me that he has been traveling across country with his act. He was in Los Angeles where he said the people really embraced his work, and has found Asheville as much if not more accommodating to his performance. His brief stint on L.A.’s Rodeo Drive was less than successful stating that “The rich people there kinda kept their distance from me.”
Just before we parted (pun intended), he handed me his business card so I can send him some photos. I briefly scanned the card and quickly placed it in my back pocket for safe keeping…or so I thought. In the bustle of shopping later that day, I must have lost the card when I pulled out my wallet that was in the same pants pocket, and consequently dropping the card somewhere in the streets of Asheville.

The LS OP PCB fitted to the incoming message deck and connected up to its wiring harness (volume control, tape head, motor).
This little leaf contact switch is the main power switch for the whole machine. The white wires connect to the PSU board and connect the output of the rectifier to the regulator. It hardly looks big enough for the job.
The motor lifts out of its can and the rubber vibration isolating pad and sleeve come off. Then the arm carrying the takeup drive spindle was removed together with its torsion spring.
Do we all need safe food and clean water? Need dignity, rights, peace, justice? Does the MDGs and SDGs meet this?

Thanks for your nice writing, idea and perception in sasrai-Movement. I like to request you to go through the PPT (that attached earlier) file again and arrange a presentation session among your colleagues. Or it can be arranged for your university friends. Thirdly you could arrange a presentation session for the community people where you or your colleagues visit.
I am sure you will get a guideline from the participants regarding our dos and don’ts. Having this idea you could develop someone that can perform presentation among the school children and youth group, factory worker etc. Presentation duration could be varying considering the participants’ convenience. Generally it takes 45 minutes. Considering participants’ time you could have open discussion that needs extra time. To get someone fluent/skill in presentation you need to spend more time for this rehearsal session.
In one session you please ask participants to identify one resource that easily can be saved daily by them. One of our most popular slogan is `Let's we try to save one Taka/Dollar/Pound/Euro/Yen ........from our daily use, consumption, expenditure, LUXURY combat the human driven CLIMATE CHANGE, GLOBAL WARMING and the sequences.’
In Bangladesh we appeal to the participants sacrifice the price of one cup tea daily and one unimportant cell phone call that can save 08 taka easily. If there are 50 students in one classroom they could save 400 BDT daily weekly 2800 BDT and monthly 12000 BDT. And this is a very much handsome amount to do voluntary job by the student even a rural community. And if we believe that next generation should get habitable earth from us We MUST FOLLOW IT. And if it is become a culture by the tenacious and relentless process no nation would be in begging help from other nation. Each nation would have self respect. None will come to dictate, would come for friendship or would come to beg those who failed to do the same. You please try to calculate if half of your city dweller follows your appeal you need not seek help from your government, leader or any donor or any other country.
You know in 1971 The Great Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Father of the Bangalee Nation appeal the same “Please get ready to fight what you have, this is the fighting to annihilate the demons, for the nation’s freedom.” The central theme of “sasrai-Movement” is each one would have mind `save a bit in every step, every resource - no matter how small it is’. And right now global community need the same to achieve SDG, as remedy of refugee, to stop war within the community, nation and to stop all sorts of Cruelty, Inhumanity, End the all form of Slavery and Slaving. State driver to street beggar each has capacity and responsibility to act in favor of earth, environment and nature. Keep the planet habitable everyone's interest and each needed to be involved – sasrai is the strategy.
I believe you will get some of your local leader believe in your vision and mission you could start with that one. Please share it among your school, college and university friends. But never be preconceived about the end result.
Well it may not happen instantly but we must disseminate the message, start the process right now. Bringing behavior and attitudinal change among the people is time consuming. But it will come true if we messengers are committed to our vision and mission.
