Lobster with Fennel Cream and Mandarin Orange
Note: A lovely combination of textures and flavors. Definitely amused my palate!
Squares of flattened banana bread that were spongy wet and chewy with a thick leathery top and bottom, served cold. My bouche wasn't amused by them, although I thought having something to nibble on while waiting for the main plates was a nice touch.

"Tomato Water, Basil Oil, Soysauce Pearls"
The very first item to announce the start of the 'Tasting Menu'.
Simple but flavourfully umami to whet the appetite. A little display of molecular gastronomy with the soysauce pearls.
But in honesty, as fun as it was....I was hoping for something more "solid"...grin.....but with "Mushroom Macchiato" the next dish...I guess starting with liquid kinda makes sense.....
We went to the Rising Sun, Indiana, Arts & Crafts Festival today. These kids seemed (understandably) amused by the tourists. #7

My Dad was quite amused with this tree on the mountain, near the top of the Bartholomews' property.
It's not just bowed over. In the shot with Dad standing under the tree, follow the trunk to the right. When it enters the foliage, it actually twists around goes up again. Much of that foliage is the same tree. Very odd.
This shot shows what the trunk does inside all that foliage.
Penny falls, slot machines and all the noise. There aren't many arcades in Whitby and they are all gathered together for those that require being 'amused'
They're consisted of:
-Cabbage jelly and mushroom served inside cabbage leaves: the cabbage's flavor was quite strong
-Onion consomme and cracker with comte chip: another rather intense item displaying texture and temperature contrast
-Chestnut marshmallow: for balance, this one was light & smooth
-Roll of cream cheese and smoked eel: decent; crunchy outside and soft inside
Satisfying
