This charming amuse-bouche was a bit of a last minute inspiration: a funky pasta I have in my cupboard just itching to be used, a visit to "goodies" (a local meditteranean shop) where I found haloumi, discovering a source of relatively inexpensive serrano ham, and the dinner party itself. The result was this simple, colourful and delectable medly, which I encourage you to try - I promise it is easy and scrummy.

Someone must have had a lot of time on their hands, and a lot of stickers.

Linda and Bobbie share an amusing little item...

Toni has been out of town for Thanksgiving, with little/no internet access. Which means, she took her photos early...leaving me to choose things to match.

I LOVE this shot of Toni's. Love it!

But amuse was difficult for me. I know this cake looks "delicious" (it was!), but I took the shot strictly for "amused." You see, we never buy cakes for birthdays. But this year, I've enjoyed the Cake Wrecks blog so much, that I requested a purchased cake. This amuses me. As in, my sister and I were giggling as we bought it. Silly, I know.

Notes

I love my Moleskines when you get them all fresh and new. I think to myself, "Yeah - I want to keep it that way," and for a while, the Moleskine stays plain and black.

Then I think to myself, "I want to brighten it up, just a little bit," so I put a sticker on and think that I'll leave it at that.

Next thing I know, it's stickers all round.

Day 177: Amused. My m42 adapter finally came for the 5d. These lenses really show their stuff when used with a full frame sensor (they were designed for film cameras). This shot is with the Jupiter 9, 85mm f/2 lens. It gets pretty sharp by f/4, and has a 16 bladed aperture for smooth bokeh at any aperture.

Note: The exif data for this shows 50mm f/2 as that value is hard coded into the chip in the adapter to allow focus confirmation in the viewfinder. This shot was at 85mm f/4.

Of course, Seokcheon Lake is most famous for having a portion of Lotte World located on it.

Clean, clean, clean...The spot was nearly virgin. The boys were busy. It's beauti-full!
