this was just a simple shot that i took while we were walking yesterday, my mom is visiting and seeing the house for the first time. she's also seeing me for the first time in well over 5 years. it's not that we haven't visited each other, she has been blind for that long.
she has similar issues as my father did. a few years back she had a cornea transplant and it has taken this long to heal. the final stiches were just recently taken out and several other procedures later, she can see again.
she went from a vibrant energetic woman to a woman who could barely move at times and now she's back to her vibrant energetic self. like she says, "it's hell getting old, but i wouldn't give any of it up!"
sometimes tomorrow isn't as dismal as it may seem.
it just makes me realize how every tomorrow has and will continue to be completely different and how special today really is...
give those around you one big warm hug today...they don't need to be told why, they'll know.

Der Pfühlpark ist der älteste Park in Heilbronn, rechnet man seine Herkunft als im großen Stil angelegter Garten um das Wasserschlößchen am Trappensee dazu. Die Ursprünge gehen auf das Jahr 1575 zurück, als der Grundstein für das Trappenseeschlößchen durch den Bürgermeister Philipp Orth gelegt wurde. Das Schlößchen befindet sich auf einer kleinen Insel inmitten des Trappensees. Namensgeber war Johann Berhard Trapp, der das Gelände 1653 erwarb. Der Pfühlpark wurde als Ergebnis eines Ideenwettbewerbes zur Gartenbauausstellung 1934 500 Meter westlich des Trappensees angelegt.
The Pfühlpark is the oldest park in Heilbronn, if you include its origins as a large-scale garden around the Wasserschlößchen on the Trappensee. The origins go back to the year 1575, when the foundation stone for the Trappenseeschlößchen was laid by the mayor Philipp Orth. The castle is located on a small island in the middle of the Trappensee. It was named after Johann Berhard Trapp, who acquired the site in 1653. The Pfühlpark was created as a result of an ideas competition for the horticultural exhibition in 1934, 500 meters west of the Trappensee.

The city is located in the natural area of the Swabian-Franconian Forest Mountains, above the Sulmtal on the edge of the Löwenstein Mountains named after it at an altitude of 220 to 549 meters. The Breitenau lake, which was artificially created in the 1970s, is located partly on the municipality.
Between September 4th (left) and 6th (right) the Sun's coronal mass ejections tore apart the tail of comet 2023 P1. This is termed a disconnection event as portions of the tail are disconnected and dispersed by their impact of the Solar wind resulting from the Sun's activity. The impact of the Sun's activity to rapidly disrupt the comet's tail is amazing.

The cat hump is a volcanic remnant. Around 65 million years ago there was an explosive volcanic eruption here, caused by groundwater-magma contact. At 635 meters, it is the highest point in the Odenwald.

Pilze an Baumstämmen
Wer genau hinsieht, kann sie entdecken: Pilze, die an Baumstämmen wachsen, tun das in den verschiedensten Farben und Formen und werden so zu einem einzigartigen Kunstwerk. Mal sind sie flach, mal rund, mal haben sie die Form einer Rose oder eines Fächers - wer die Augen offen hält, kann ihre Schönheit im Wald bewundern. Manche der Baumpilze sind übrigens auch essbar. Als Laie sollte man dennoch besser die Finger von den Pilzen lassen, denn nicht alle sind ungiftig: Auch an Baumstämmen können giftige Pilze wachsen.

Die Traubenlese, auch Weinlese oder Weinernte, bezeichnet im Weinbau die Ernte der Weintrauben. Die Tätigkeit wird auch als Herbsten bezeichnet, was auf die ursprüngliche Bedeutung des Wortes Herbst („Erntezeit“) zurückzuführen ist. In der Weinlese schneiden die Herbster die Weintrauben ab.
Bei der manuellen Lese (traditionell) werden die reifen Trauben von Hand abgeschnitten. Dabei besteht auch die Möglichkeit, zur Steigerung der Qualität nur die besonders reifen Trauben auszuwählen (diese Auslese ist namensgebend bei dem gleichnamigen Prädikat innerhalb der Qualitätsweine mit Prädikat).
Geerntet werden nur die reifen Trauben. Die Trauben sollten dabei, mit Ausnahme der edelfaulen Trauben, gesund sein.
Die maschinelle Lese erfolgt durch einen Vollernter, der über die in Reihen ausgerichteten Weinreben hinwegbewegt wird. Geerntet werden die Trauben dabei durch Klopfen und Rütteln. Die herabfallenden Traubenbeeren werden von einem Lamellensystem aufgefangen, das die Stämme der Rebstöcke umschließt und das Lesegut über ein Förderband in einen Auffangbehälter leitet. Bei diesem Verfahren geraten auch Laub und kleine Äste ins Lesegut. Diese werden durch ein Gebläse zum Großteil entfernt.
Die Lese erfolgt in Mitteleuropa vom Spätsommer bis in den Herbst, je nach Lage und Traubensorte unterschiedlich. Da bei der Lese der Trauben zur Erzeugung von Eiswein die Temperatur nicht höher als −7 °C sein darf, kann sie oft erst im Dezember oder Januar erfolgen.

Christmas Market Stuttgart 2019
Eine Tradition seit mehr als 300 Jahren – der Stuttgarter Weihnachtsmarkt gehört nicht nur zu den schönsten und größten, sondern auch zu den ältesten Weihnachtsmärkten in ganz Europa. Bereits im Jahr 1692 fand er erstmals urkundlich Erwähnung. Seine Wurzeln reichen jedoch noch weiter zurück und zwar bis zu den Anfängen des 16. Jahrhunderts. Aus dem Jahr 1507 ist ein offizielles Marktprivileg bekannt, in dem Herzog Ulrich von Württemberg der Stadt Stuttgart den Einzug des Standgeldes an den Jahrmärkten überlässt. Aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach handelt es sich bei dem Marktprivileg aber lediglich um die Bestätigung einer bereits bestehenden Befugnis. In dieser wird ein Pferdemarkt an St. Ottmar (16. November) erwähnt, aus welchem sich später ein Jahrmarkt entwickelte, der zeitlich immer näher an Weihnachten heranrückte. Hieraus entstand schließlich ein „Christkindleinmarkt“, der sich von Dienstag bis Samstag vor Weihnachten erstreckte.

It is a agaric mushroom with dark brown scales on the hat, which can grow up to 40cm tall and a brownish speckled stem with a sliding sleeve.
