This amazing capture was photographed in Meridian, Idaho. A snowy and cold morning in December and this pheasant flew in front of my lens. The fog in the background was just right.
Right in the middle of adjusting my Canon 100-400MM L lens for handheld stabilizer mode II. I was panning across and talk about getting startled.

Rare for Nebraska in November that is....
There was some risk of severe weather that afternoon. In fact.... way out of season severe weather. There was just enough instability by afternoon to allow the thunderstorms to develop, strengthen, and even spin up a few tornadoes in the 4-5 p.m. CST time frame.
I had a 5 hour drive back from Missouri and was exhausted. Plus I had to work in a few hours so chasing this storm was just not possible that afternoon. But I did venture out to capture a few snaps of that afternoons events.
Pictured here were the cells effecting the Red Cloud to Clay Center Nebraska areas. I was just to the south of the I-80 Minden Interchange. Found a cozy spot without any powerlines and pointed my camera to the east southeast.
Some amazing captures to finalize my severe weather photography for 2016

Another beautiful sunrise overlooking Kilauea from our trip back in October. What a beautiful morning it was. This is the same morning as my other Kilauea picture that I posted a few weeks ago. It was foggy which made it difficult to keep my lenses clean, but it was well worth struggle. The fog and low clouds helped capture the light and redistribute it to help create this amazing capture.
Thanks for looking.

Amsterdams STRAAT-Museum ist mit Abstand das größte – und beste – Street Art Museum der Welt. C'mon guys, there's enough for all of us!
Thank you for all your visits my friends! I appreciate you all for stopping by and viewing my photos and commenting on them once in a while. I know I love admiring all of your great captures. It brings me great pleasure to see the marvelous work you all do. Unfortunately, I will not be doing much birding or zoom photography anytime soon as I had a major setback. I had an unfortunate incident with my tripod and broke my big glass lens. Ouch! That hurts. Many blessings to all of you. Keep up the great and amazing captures as I will be here to root you on. Cheers... Juan Carlos
Imaged at the Como Zoological Garden - St. Paul, Minnesota. This one born July 2nd..just 2 1/2 weeks old as of yesterday.
A Buddhist monk, draped in vibrant saffron robes, walks barefoot through the ancient corridors of Angkor Wat. For me, the contrast between his radiant clothing and the weathered stone architecture evokes a powerful sense of timelessness, spirituality, and tranquility. The soft natural light filtering through the temple enhances the peaceful aura of this sacred space. Captured in Cambodia, this image reflects the harmony between history, faith, and daily life.
