"Generosity is a matter of heart and not finances" And I would say this is one very generous sunset! Personally that's how I feel when I am standing there in awe over these breathtaking moments...whether it is a sunrise or sunset they all leave me stunned. This moment was no exception! May we all live generously today ; ) ....and if I will just look up every day and look around, there is always a "reminder" to be generous...It truly is "more blessed to give than receive" : )
Thank you all for your generosity in sharing all your amazing captures! It's mesmerizing...I just want to drink them all in! I have seen some amazing shots already in 2011 and the best is yet to come! Whew Whoooo! ; )
Enjoy every moment, they all count! Have a great day! We have so much to be thankful for!
November 27, 2016 - South of I-80 Minden Interchange, US
Prints Available Click Here
Rare for Nebraska in November that is....
There was some risk of severe weather that afternoon. In fact.... way out of season severe weather. There was just enough instability by afternoon to allow the thunderstorms to develop, strengthen, and even spin up a few tornadoes in the 4-5 p.m. CST time frame.
I had a 5 hour drive back from Missouri and was exhausted. Plus I had to work in a few hours so chasing this storm was just not possible that afternoon. But I did venture out to capture a few snaps of that afternoons events.
Pictured here were the cells effecting the Red Cloud to Clay Center Nebraska areas. I was just to the south of the I-80 Minden Interchange. Found a cozy spot without any powerlines and pointed my camera to the east southeast.
Some amazing captures to finalize my severe weather photography for 2016

A real friend would forgive
If I did something wrong
A real friend will lend a hand
Whenever I'm not strong..
A real friend would always be there
If I need them by my side
A real friend will remember me
Long after I have died..

... woke up early and went out of the apartment at 5am. That's what i thought ... had Teluk Tempoyak in mind to catch the sunrise, a quiet Malay fishing village in the southeast tip of penang.
Didnt go as planned ... was halfway to the destination only to realize that it was already 7am. huh? hahaha fakkmesideways ... traffic was building up as it was a weekday and i decided to abort. Was not going to make it, i hate being stuck in traffic and might as well go home. Spoilt my mood ..
.. while driving back, happened to look out of the window and the sky had an amazing long beautiful ray of light. made a u-turn, parked the car over the side-walk at a roundabout, grabbed my camera on the passenger seat and managed to catch this. lucky me
thank u penang! u did not disappoint :)
[View large] This photo has been taken around 3 am. In Northern Europe there is almost no darkness at now. Just some technical detail on the image: this is a HDR made up of three different shots at -1, 0, 1 expositions. No tripod! :-)

Enjoy your weekend my dear friends!

I chopped and climbed my way between very tall reeds for at least 10 minutes just to find this amazing rivers edge location so I could capture this low perspective sunset reflecting of this peaceful swampy surface, whilst looking through the reeds

A new week is here, and so are we Flickrites to establish the next generation of image takers in this "IMAGE ERA" we're in.
I hope everyone's weekend was 100% good and that they can only cheer up those that had not such a nice weekend.
Spread positive possibilities my friends.

One of 4 Leopards (including 2 cubs) we saw on one afternoon game drive in the Seronera area, Serengeti, Tanzania.
The cat was sitting absolutely relaxed on a little mound beside the road. A few moments later the cat tried effortless to hunt a curious warthog.
Seronera is really a hot spot for Leopards. We saw at least 5 different Leopards in 4 days. We had even more sightings, but were not sure, if that´s a different cat or the same we already saw.

Another Milky Way shot from Meteora - Greece. Well that's a special one for me. When we arrived at Meteora with @pphotographia we started the timelapse set up. Panos was preparing the @digislider rails and trying to find the best view angle. I found the opportunity to get a still shot, so I set up my canon with @triggertrap remote control. The sun was barely visible in the west but it's luminosity was still affecting the sky. The Milky Way had already risen and the stars were popping up one by one. I shot at low ISO, about 2000, for 20 sec in order not to get too much overexposed. The result was amazing! Capturing the stars just before total darkness.
You can find Greek Skies in Vimeo and YouTube.

(EXPLORED) I promise this will be the last picture with "sweet" in the title. haha
Look at this Pongo face, every time I take a picture of her my voice raises an octave, like when photographing babies & toddlers!!
(There's a few shadows here that bug me a little, but otherwise I really like this innocent expression and hanging out pose.)
I was trying to get a shot of this wild poppy which has sprung up from nowhere in my garden & just as I clicked the shutter the bee appeared.........Drat :)
Spotted in Explore #464. Thanks for letting me know Len.

Took this image of a bee pollinating a cactus blossom, if you look closely you can see the very small sphere's of pollen sticking on the bee's hairy legs, what an amazing capture of Nature's way of Pollination for future cactus blossoms.

As I look upon You I am changed
And though I fail, Your faithful love remains
As I sing and worship You
I find again no words describe Your love
I'm in awe of the wonderful water drop reflections I see on flickr, Len Janes ( www.flickr.com/photos/amazing-capture/ ) has some fantastic ones. Just a hint of one here but more by luck than judgement!
