I always enjoy the sounds of the pileated woodpecker, if you have never heard one calling or drumming it’s very unique and loud.

Another one of the pics I got of that storm on Lake Michigan. I really enjoyed taking these pics.... I think I need to invest in a good camera. I had a lot of trouble getting decent shots (of course it could be because I'm such a noob at taking pics lol).

This is a shot I could no longer catch, as the area was dumped upon and destroyed by so-called developers, under the watch of the Ministry of Carriacou & Petite Martinique Affairs. This area showed signs of ancient marine life (the water here is from rainfall). Shot on Kodachrome 64 in the 1990s. Scanned with an HP Photosmart S20.
Oh, and the development never happened. The end result was overgrowth and an increase in animal pests for those of us who live in the community.

The water colour of the lake is a bright turquoise due to glacial flour, made from extremely fine rock particles that have come from the surrounding glaciers.
The morning sunrise light on the red rocks in this Utah landscape was just amazing. Captured in the Garden of Eden area of Arches.

Not a mountain range, this is a close up of Factory Butte with beautiful details.

A nice break from winter back home and enjoying some summer weather on this work trip while trying to sneak in a few shots.
Brisbane has a magnificent waterfront with lots of access, and people come to enjoy the views and fresh air.
Spotted this muskrat in a pond, enjoying an afternoon swim.
It was a great surprise, it being my first time seeing one.
Best viewed large.

Mallard. Sure tough getting studio lights out on the ice! :) Best Viewed Large On Black Mallards form pairs only until the female lays eggs, at which time she is left by the male. The clutch is 8–13 eggs, which are incubated for 27–28 days to hatching with 50–60 days to fledgling. The ducklings are precocial, and can swim and feed themselves on insects as soon as they hatch, although they stay near the female for protection. IMG_1241

And the amazing thing about this camera app and electronic aperture is that I was quite far away, yet the details are so amazingly captured. Too bad that Microsoft's forced upgrade from win7 to win10 corrupted the camera app. In many ways this camera phone was better than the Android I have now.

What a weather! The sky is darkening, there is lightning, there is thunder: a thunderstorm has come!
A quick business trip, but I still found some time to take the camera out for some sightseeing and a few photos.
The Toronto Islands are a chain of 15 small islands in Lake Ontario and only a 15-minute ferry ride from the Toronto Waterfront. They are an incredible tressure for the city and offer amazing views.
GPS is the exact spot of the shot.

Das Schloss Neuenstein wurde in staufischer Zeit als Wasserburg – auf einem Sandsteinfelsen in einem Sumpfgebiet – erbaut und gelangte um 1300 in den Besitz der Grafen von Hohenlohe.
Im 16. Jahrhundert wurde es von Graf Ludwig Casimir zur Residenz im Stil der Renaissance ausgebaut.
Nach Aufgabe des Schlosses um 1700 als Wohnsitz der Familie, diente das Gebäude lange Jahre verschiedenen sozialen Zwecken, bevor 1878 das Museum eröffnet wurde.
1906 wurde das Schloss von Baumeister Bodo Ebhardt gründlich renoviert und erhielt sein heutiges prachtvolles Äußeres.
Neuenstein Castle was built as a moated castle in the Hohenstaufen era - on a sandstone rock in a swamp area - and came into the possession of the Counts of Hohenlohe around 1300.
In the 16th century, Count Ludwig Casimir expanded it into a Renaissance-style residence.
After the castle was abandoned as the family residence around 1700, the building served various social purposes for many years before the museum was opened in 1878.
In 1906 the castle was thoroughly renovated by master builder Bodo Ebhardt and received its present-day splendid exterior.
