I used the back end of my wood knife to make some light ribs on on the top "cup" and the shoulder leading into the tall neck. I think it is visually more appealing to vary the depth of the ridges.
This alter differs from the other two in that its upper end is set at an angle. It was found in two pieces--with one part 40 meters away. It's possible that the site was deconstructed prior to abandonment.
It shows designs like those from Tahin and seashells were found beneath the alter as an offering to Quetzalcoatl

This was made for my Swap Bot partner for Altered Text ATC. I used metallic gold paint, brown pain, glitter, and a book page for the text

I placed a texture over this image and used a layer mask to remove the texture from his body. Turned out pretty good, as long as it is viewed large. Otherwise the texture is not too visible.
So to see the texture in greater detail view it large on black.
