Auckland Castle, Bishop Auckland, County Durham.
The Bishop's Palace.
The official residence of the Bishop of Durham.
Begun for Bishop du Puiset (1153-1195), enlarged and altered on many occasions since.
Grade l listed.

Note - There has been a six year lapse between my taking these pictures of Auckland Castle and uploading them to Flickr. I cannot remember the exact location of this window, nor can I see it on the on-line panorama of the chapel. Is it in an ante-chapel? Please tell me if you know.
The original 12th century chapel at Auckland Castle was lost in the English Civil War. Bishop John Cosin transformed the medieval Great Hall into an important place of religion in the 1660s. Consecrated in 1665, it has been in continuous use for over 350 years.
The firm of Burlison & Grylls was founded in 1868 at the instigation of the architects George Frederick Bodley and Thomas Garner.
Thomas John Grylls (1845-1913) and John Burlison (1843-1891) were encouraged to leave their apprenticeships with Clayton & Bell and set up their stained glass firm which built a considerable reputation for its fine work over the next 40 years. They became one of the most successful stained glass firms in England.
Following Thomas John Grylls' death in 1913, the firm was continued by his son Thomas Henry Grylls (1873-1953), although effectively it can be said to have closed shortly after its London premises were bombed and all records destroyed in 1945.

altered book spread in book of original poetry (poem written in gold ink which doesn't scan legibly)
Added body length, but also made the back into one piece and the front into one wide piece, pleating the extra width. Very happy with the fit of this on my tubby girl.

Hailing from the mile high city of Denver, the members of ORiiiON produce and perform an immersive audio-visual experience. The combination of wonderfully cinematic sci-fi visuals, and an immersive, progressive, electronic, rhythmic rock show will leave you floating on stardust... The result is a spectacle that will leave any observer craving more.
ORiiiON is an independently produced music theater project. The musical approach is heavy, groove based, melodic, and contemporary. The combination of 7 string guitars, fat slap bass lines, gnarly pocket drum grooves, and huge electronic tracks will shake the foundations of the building as well as the listeners ideas of contemporary music.
