-Added to the Cream of the Crop pool as my most favorited photo (got there in just one day too)
I decided to start sharing some of the photos I took as a photographer for my high school. I suppose I was a pretty good photographer for a 17-year-old.
This is a picture of a wrestling match. The guy with the glare won for my school.
Behaviour shot only (cropped a lot as I zoomed out expecting it to fly) - This is what a Great Blue Heron does when it wants to scare away another Great Blue Heron. Just like a cat, it will raise its plumage on its back and position its head this way... frankly if this guy or girl was walking towards me like this, I would fly away too.
Merry Christmas Eve day to all my Flickr friends.

I was doing volunteer work in downtown Grand Rapids when I saw this window washer rappel down the side of a high-rise. For just a second the sun hit him directly and bounced off the glass in front of him and around the lens of my iPhone.
Having been inspired by my Flickr friend Robert Syvret, I recognized that this was an incredible moment and I grabbed the only camera I had with me.
I went for a walk on a friend's property. They have bears, wolves and deer on their property. Lucky for me I didn't encounter any on my walk.

Behond Layers - Another Kim Klassen challenge for us to do.
OOps I made a mistake, it was to be B&W exercise. Oh well...sepia will do me.
Yesterday, my friend, Loui, was visible, but afraid. The zoo is building a habitat for red pandas very close to Loui's home. The noise from the construction makes him nervous. Here, he's peeking out from a pipe they've given him as a hiding place.
The blue tarp protects the house until it can be fixed.

"She walked up to the gates of her own hell and knocked, not to surrender, but to face everything that once haunted her.
And in that moment, her demons stayed silent because nothing frightens the dark more than a broken woman who is no longer afraid to meet herself."
