‘Village Nativity’……The village has had a Christmas decoration bonanza - lots of folks have put up decorations of sorts outside their houses with Mince Pies & Mulled Wine stations dotted around. I made a stable yesterday & this was our offering - Bijou but perfectly formed (I hope)! Just a 'Snap' I'm afraid today. Hope you are all good and staying Covid safe on YOUR run up. Commiseration to those most effected by the new Covid developments just announced in the UK. Alan:-)…….

I'm afraid of you myself...

remembering one of the most beautiful cities on earth

No people , no traffic, no noise - the village at night.

If you live in a city or a large town you don't get this experience. In fact it can be a little unnerving if you are not used to it.

(What would it be like if you were the last person alive? - The stuff of nightmares).

Hemyock, Devon, UK.

definitely NOOOOOOOOOOO...

Cause if I want you, and I want you, babe

Ain't going backwards, won't ask for space

Cause space was just a word made up by someone who's afraid to get too...

Not afraid of the dark when I have him by my side ♥ Taken @ Nevers End maps.secondlife.com/sec.../Summit%20Valley/243/184/25

AWESOME place its a must go!!

I'm afraid of heights. It's a lot better now than it used to be, but still. To be able to get a shot like this, I need a lot of time to get used to the view - look into the abyss for a few minutes, take a step closer, repeat. There can not be people near me, I simply don't trust them. Not that I think that they want to push me, although the thought may cross their minds, I just know that people are clumsy. They lose their balance, bump into me, and that's it. People do die here, mostly the clumsy ones. The most recent casualty was standing near the edge and dropped her sunglasses - in an effort to catch them she lost her balance and fell down. Just so you know that this is sort of heroic for me.

But where is it? It's Victoria Falls, shot from The Zimbabwe side. Zambia is on the other side.

This is actually a selfie. I set the exposure and focus and then took my time to move to the death spot. I then asked Daniella to trip the shutter, so I guess officially it's not a selfie. Anyway, it was shot on our Beyond The Great Rivers tour, just after sunrise.

This image was recently used for the review I wrote on the Gura Gear Bataflae camera backpack - the black thing I'm wearing in the shot. You can find the review on the 500px blog:

I usually end by mentioning the fact that you can join me to this place, but unfortunately both the 2015 and 2016 tours are already fully booked - it's crazy. We may decide to add a second tour in 2016, so drop us a line if you're interested.

After all the activity of the afternoon—encountering a lion, meeting a tiny cowgirl, and marching in a parade—Daisy was happy to reach home and was looking forward to having dinner. “Hello, Daisy!” her sister greeted her. “Your timing is great; I’ve made a big cheese tray, and I’m starting the salad. Do you have the pork chop?”

“I’m afraid not. I had to sacrifice the pork chop to save my life!” As Daisy related her story, they enjoyed their dinner of cheese and salad.

These Blythe dolls are Blue Rabbit and Dear Forest Deer for “Big Cheese” and “Green”. The cheese is an ornament, and the tomatoes are refrigerator magnets.

This only took me 3 hours. I wrote it myself, and went outside where the sun was shining. I find it wonderful, really.

be very afraid.

She's 3 and she's not afraid to use it.

reminds me of this: www.flickr.com/photos/diyosa/817994509/ I should process it the same.

Great view on a fantastic hike in the incredible Dolimites.

Seeing these clouds we were afraid to walk straight into a thunderstorm, but all went well.

Very happy with this shot, hope you like it :-)

The trees in the Hoh Rainforest look like mossy monsters. But I am sure they are harmless.

What a funny winter - almost no snow. But I am afraid this is the real beginning of the climate change... the long path

No time today to do anything more interesting, so I did a detail shot.

My lines come out more in the summertime with sun exposure.

I shot this with my 5 megapixel Canon because I was afraid that the 12 megapixel Kodak would show a little more detail than I want. :-)

"All of these lines across my face

Tell you the story of who I am

So many stories of where I've been

And how I got to where I am

All of my friends who think that I'm blessed

They don't know my head is a mess

No, they don't know who I really am

And they don't know what I've been through..."

This is a huge favorite of mine...

Shot in color

Converted to black and white

Adjusted brightness and contrast

Converted to duotone

I'm afraid it was all I could find around the place that was "queenly". It's an old McDonald's Happy Meal toy. I think it's meant to hang off a knapsack but who really wants to have the evil witch as your hero or effigy or totem? I guess that's why it's still here….HMM.

We go dancing in the attic every night,

while the moon rises in the sky.

If I'm too rough, tell me,

I'm so afraid your little head will fall off in my hands.
