I thought it was interesting that there are more guy wires holding up this pole than there are power lines going to houses. I guess this must be a very windy corner and the Power Company is afraid they might lose their pole to high winds. I can’t think why else it would have to be so strongly secured. HTT
After you've been forced to change paths it's easy to feel lost, alone, and afraid in the darkness. Naked and vulnerable, exposed for the world to see and judge, all defenses stripped bare and left open like fresh wound, to feel anything other than afraid would just be bad instincts. Considering the possibilities for crime in city tunnels and underpasses I suppose the fear is not entirely irrational.

Simkha doesn't afraid cold and even light rain or drizzle and spends a lot of time outside not only in summer, but in winter too.
But a recent storm forced even fearless Simcha to stay at home. And he had to be played with all the time, otherwise he would meow endlessly and demand that the wind be turned off.

Especially on a day like this! I love popcorn clouds and blue skies. And there was plenty of wind so the sky was always changing - I had to wait a little bit so there weren't any shadows on the field/hills.

This Brown Rat was scavenging under the bird feeders at Argaty Red Kite Centre. As this is a working farm as well as the Centre, not surprising that these would take advantage of a free food source. I did draw the line when I had them in our garden under my feeders and I'm afraid we called in Pest Control
