I'm afraid I was not ready for this, with completely the wrong set up and settings and also failed to nail the focus, so apologies for the quality (lesson learnt). However, since a sighting of a stoat is uncommon enough, let alone with prey, I felt it was still worth posting.

One of my attempts at the "Macro Mondays" theme "New".

While I got the feeling that I learned a few things over the last couple of years as far as photography is concerned, I‘m afraid to have reached a point of stagnation when it comes to making music. That‘s why I absolutely want to work on new ideas for compositions and try to do some real musical experimentation in the upcoming year.

Gephyrophobia is the anxiety disorder or specific phobia characterised by the fear of bridges and tunnels. As a result, sufferers of gephyrophobia may avoid routes that will take them over bridges or through tunnels. The term gephyrophobia comes from the Greek γέφυρα (gephura), meaning "bridge".

Considering the possibilities for crime in city tunnels and underpasses I suppose the fear is not entirely irrational.

....be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest.

Regent's Park has a fenced-in bird area with lake. Birds live and breed there and are not at all afraid of people.

Thank you all for visits. favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!

And now, back to our regular scheduled programming...

After 3 hours of waiting alone wondering what i'm doing there, NQSL/CN A46621-12, the six days a week manifest between Garneau and Parent finally arrives at Rivière-du-Milieu with 4117' ft of mixed freight headed for Northwestern Quebec.

We will be creating an Urban Gallery in Lauren Home....a furniture store that I help to manage. I've been asked to do some Urban Abstract shots for the new gallery. It's a fascinating challenge for me, and I'm gonna do my best.

So....for the next few weeks, you will be seeing some 'theme' shots in my stream. I really hope that you will all help me in this endeavor, and give me your best feedback on these shots. They will be printed, and they will be scattered thru the Gallery.....I really want to get this right....

Don't be afraid to be critical, if you have some thoughts that might help me make these better. I really need your help and your ideas!

Thanks, everyone!

Just when you thought it was safe ...

Happy Halloween!

So afraid to unravel what we've made

Out of everything that changed before our eyes

The Uferhallen have become an integral part of the Berlin cultural scene since 2007 and, in addition to studios and studio apartments, also dance and rehearsal rooms, recording studios, a concert hall and an exhibition hall, workshops, restaurants and a variety of event rooms. More than 150 people live and work here and are now trying to get their tenancies extended appropriately.

5 minutes after I took this picture, I discovered that I left my keys from work @home..

I had to return and I 'm afraid I have to pay some fines in a couple of weeks :-(

While doing some birdwatching early this month. I was tickled to see this Red-bellied Woodpecker fly up to one of his favorite feeders to grab a nut, when he suddenly paused and took a good look at that little Goldfinch who didn't budge one bit when a giant bird showed up.

For half a second it looked like Mr. Red-belly hesitated because he was intimidated by this tiny birdie who was clearly not afraid of him.

My wife is. She will freeze on the spot at the sight of a six inch long dead earth worm on the path and dissolve into uncontrollable spasms and floods of tears. So she won't walk across to Castle Tioram. In fact she won't even look at the picture. So what is keeping my flickr friends from coming to this part of the world when they will so readily go to Skye and what for?

Another lifer for me, first time I have seen this type of Warbler.

This little guy sat happily exposed on a branch just singing his heart out for at least 5-7 minutes and didn't seem to mind my presence at all... I was probably 50-60 feet away so he wasn't afraid. In the above image I just managed to catch him with his tail almost straight up.
