This hare (Lepus europaeus) is running towards me. Moments and a few stops later it was sitting only two metres (six and a half US feet) away from me. After a short while it quietly went on. I heard about it only last week. 'We have this hare that is not afraid of humans.' We know the hare as shy and afraid and are puzzled by this strange behaviour.

I'm afraid it's back to Newquay for another sunset long exposure. As Jimmy Durante used to say - "I got a million of'em". (I know, I know, who is Jimmy Durante? Some of the oldies will remember I'm sure. lol)
Never mind, let's just say I had a very productive evening shooting that Newquay sunset. This was a crop of a much larger image but by excluding any clouds I liked the 3 layer effect it gave to the image.
For once I thought you will be afraid to lose me.

For years we in Ireland, especially on the east coast assumed that we had Viking ancestery but it actually works out that we are more Spanish than anything else. The Vikings didnt mix with the natives and married amongst their own. Indeed, we called them " The Dark Foreigners " which is not a very complimentary name.
Of course now I know where my devastaing good looks come from! With my tanned skin, brooding good looks, jet black hair and my dark brown eyes. Im a fine figure of a man really! Only thing I cant understand is that the rest of us have red hair and freckles! Ill have to ask my Mum. Mum...., remember you told me you had a Spanish holiday years ago before I was born? What year was that Mum!.......................Mum!.. mum mum. What??????....................................Lol!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a yellow day at Color my World Daily and at some point in time I will have to start to celebrate fall… So lets start with today’s picture. If you are wondering what my title means : kasztany is chestnuts in Polish. During my childhood it was very popular in Poland to collect chestnuts and making figurines with them. We had such great time playing with our chestnuts people or animals. Few years ago I tried to show this awesome activity to my sons but frankly they had no interest at all in chestnuts. The older one tried to eat the raw chestnut and the longer one was afraid to touch the chestnut since it was on the ground and « dirty » (yes he was already a germaphobe, and it doesn’t come from my side !!). The chestnuts activity was disaster. This week I found this huge chestnut near my house and I couldn’t resist ! I feel a little bit like this old man on the top: slightly outdated while playing with chestnuts…

Hi Everyone!
Yesterday I posted those alien-looking bugs, so today I chose something of opposite nature, a Monarch Butterfly.
Backstory: I was in a meadow taking macros of wildflowers when the winds started up. Just then the Monarch came to nectar on the Meadow Blazingstar. I was sitting on the ground, afraid to move as the butterfly posed away. This is one of several images from that summer day.

I went down this trail by myself to get the and I was honestly afraid of being trampled by a moose or being attacked by a hobo. Or both. It was scary. But I'm ok, so it's all good. My arms look funny but that's because they're bent!
