I am afraid I have gone off Flickr for the summer. As a farmer am I unable to find time to follow up Flickr the way I like, and the way it should be done. So I use to have a break from about Easter to mid Sep.
I just looked in to be updated on one Flickr friend that is in a very interesting prosess at the moment. I see many of you still comment and fave my photos. It is very much appreciated, and kind of you, but I am sadly not looking in very often, and will not be able to see it, nor respond. Nor am I able to visit your streams.
We have no snow, the first lambs have arrived, the fire wood is cut, split and drying in large bags, the first manure have been spread, the yearlings will be let out in the weekend, and all the rest of the busy spring work is readdy to start. It is a stressful, yet joyfull, time of year. This is the work that lay the ground for crops and income later.
I wish you all a great summer, or winter for my dear friends down under, and see you all in autumn.
This photo was taken by Mette on a walk along the fjord in Easter.
Hugs to all that want one from the old bearded farmer.
I'm afraid I still feel as thought I've been riding a Clydesdale twice a day for five hours. I just don't remember doing it or why I got talked into it. That's the way I feel: I want to feel like Sammy looked so many years ago.
Thanks for all the well wishes, but this looks like a long haul and, wouldn't you know it, every pain doc in the west is sitting on a beach in the Carribbean. Oh, did I tell you, that my Clydesdale is carved from boulders at Ruby Beach in Washington State. With any luck there are sprinal decompression shots in my future no later than Wednesday!
I spent most of my day outside and out of the way of the bluebirds as much as possible. I watched Hawks fly over, I saw the bald eagle fly over once, buzzards and crows flew over. So many crows. The hawks wanted to come to the yard, They visit frequently, that of course is the reason I stayed outside most of the day. I am now wondering about crows, do they eat baby birds or just bird eggs??? They kept landing in the neighbors trees and circling my yard. That is not normal behavior for crows around here. (Update: I just read about what crows eat and apparently they would eat a baby bird. I am glad they are afraid of me :)
“There is light. There is hope. Christ called: "Do not be afraid!", and I call with him. Because fear is a very bad guide. The Lord is with us. We have experienced more than one disaster, and we will survive this with God's help. The mechanisms of the hybrid war that is being waged against us are aimed to frighten a person. To paralyze his will, the ability to think clearly, act, do good. I am sure that when we do good, we become very strong. Therefore, this is my advice: if you want to feel your own strength, do good! And then you will see that we are capable of being very strong.”

And in a way I'm yearning
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
A tooth for a tooth
And anyway I told the truth
And I'm not afraid to die.

When I was eight, I was attacked...brutally attacked by a rooster..
I was chasing after a cat in a field..and a rooster filled with demons ran after me...
It seriously scratched my back and i was bleeding
it also scarred my heart.
forever.
Oh yeah, and we ate him the next night :X
One thing in life that I'm not afraid of is color. Maybe I embrace color so much because I'm an artist or maybe because I grew up in Detroit; the home of pink gators.

Location: Shopping Mall in Berlin Hohenschönhausen(not the main hall but a sideway which leads to a library)
This is a breakwater/ jetty at Bicheno, east coast of Tasmania. The waves pound into this and create some spectacular walls of water, soaking anything that is on or near it.
Two kids (not mine!) decided to walk along it when it was in full action and experience a soaking!
I took this from afar with a 400mm lens from the shack that we were staying at, but was a little worried that the kids (only one in this photo, but the other wasn't far away) would get swept out. This kid was brave and just not afraid of mother nature.
This woman asked if we were not afraid to climb the old spiral staircase, and allowed herself to be photographed
