I’m scared for myself
And I’m scared for my lover

People do to each other
I’m scared for the land
And I’m scared for the trees
I’m scared of pollution
And scared of disease
I’m scared for the future
There’s not enough time
There’s far too much murder
And raping and crime
And I’m scared of the drugs
Stealing youth from the young
I’m scared that society
Won’t last very long
We talk about peace
Always full of intentions
Preparing for war
With our latest inventions
Bad politicians
Are standing so tall
Seeing no value
In our lives at all
And if we turn away
From this chilling dream,
The child inside all of us
Too taut to scream.

July 14 - When new pets arrive at the shelter, they are scared and it takes some time for them to relax and start to show their personality. She is safe at this non-kill shelter and has no reason to be scared....she just doesn't know that yet.

of the monkey with baby just around the corner
No matter how free I feel I am - I will always feel caged in the nature of my mind - I will never truly be free, the darkness of the cage i.e. been trapped in acts as my only security some days
