So, my camera club, 'Misfits With Cameras' (formerly known as Club Blatz) had a little outing today. It definitely appealed to the 9 year old boy in me. David Letterman and his rooftops had noting on Chris and his 'Claw':)

"John J. 'Johnny' Evers (1881 – 1947) played in Major League Baseball from 1902 through 1917 for the Chicago Cubs, Boston Braves, and Philadelphia Phillies.
He was born in Troy (NY). After playing for the local minor league baseball team for one season, Frank Selee, manager of the Cubs, purchased Evers's contract and soon made him his starting second baseman.
Evers helped lead the Cubs to four National League pennants, including two World Series championships (1907 and 1908). The Cubs' next World Series championship would famously wait until 2016.
The Cubs traded Evers to the Braves in 1914; that season, he led the Braves to victory in the World Series, and was named the league's Most Valuable Player.
Evers continued to play for the Braves and Phillies through 1917. He then became a coach, scout, manager, and general manager in his later career.
As the Cubs' second baseman, Evers was part of a great double-play combination, teaming with shortstop Joe Tinker and first baseman Frank Chance, which was immortalized as 'Tinker-to-Evers-to-Chance' in the classic baseball poem "Baseball's Sad Lexicon", written by New York Evening Mail newspaper columnist Franklin Pierce Adams in July 1910.
Known as one of the smartest ballplayers in baseball, Evers retired in 1918, having batted .300 or higher twice in his career, stolen 324 bases and scored 919 runs.
Evers was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame by the Veterans Committee in 1946.
Evers is also mentioned in the poem 'Line-Up for Yesterday' by Ogden Nash:

His jaw in advance;
Never afraid
to Tinker with Chance.

Evers' grave is located in Section B of St. Mary's Cemetery but you may need help from the friendly cemetery staff to find it. That was my experience.

This little guy wasn't doing so well, and he landed on a newspaper in my laundromat. What was more amusing was that he landed right over the word "help" in the headline. It's a little hard to tell that from the picture.

Yes, yet another shot of Stonehenge, I'm afraid you'll have to excuse me for quite a few similar images from the same place today, I'm suffering from a fit of nostalgia.
You see I live about three miles away from this beautiful place but this week I'm moving all the way up to East Anglia to start University and I'll be leaving this amazing place behind me. Thus I decided that, this morning, I would get up, drag myself and my equipment down the road and make the most of my last chance to take this stunning scenery and produce images that I'm proud to share with you all.
All my EXIF data is attached, post processing was all done in Lightroom 2 and using my new Waccom Bamboo pen and tablet which makes things so much easier!
