This little guy wasn't doing so well, and he landed on a newspaper in my laundromat. What was more amusing was that he landed right over the word "help" in the headline. It's a little hard to tell that from the picture.

Link was a bit twitchy around this freshly ran over Northern Brown Snake. It was still moving a bit (head was smashed) and Link did not like that at all.

My farewell to bikinis and music...winter is upon us :(
On September 12th at 4:29PM, a cottontail rabbit (Sylvilagus floridanus) and an eastern fox squirrel (Sciurus niger) were spotted on the path between Blanton-Nason-Brewer Hall and Missouri Hall. I was easily able to walk up to both animals and take a picture of them. I believe this was possible due to adaptations by both animals and a change in how they process humans within their landscapes of fear. Due to generations of both animals (most likely) living on campus surrounded by non-hostile humans, their landscape of fear changed from avoiding humans to living together in a "if you do not bother me, I will not bother you" environment. This increasingly-safe environment will let both animals create longer and more fit offspring as they do not need to allocate resources to defense or creating many offspring.

Five years ago I met Helena Grbavac, who later became my all time favorite model. I've only done two shoots with Helena, and this shoot is the first one. This shoot couldn't have been more simple. No stylists, no make-up, no crew of any kind. Just Helena and I walking through Canada's National Gallery.
The theme of the shot was that for ever picture Helena walked in front of, her chameleon qualities would take on what was directly behind her. Of course Photoshop had allot to do with Helena's chameleon like qualities!
Before Helena and I went to the gallery I found out that in Canada, you're allowed to take shots in public places. And the National Gallery qualified as a public place. So without a flash, and only taking shots of 'Canadian Owned' works, Helena and I set out like two kids in a candy store. How nice to have the freedom to shoot in such a large location!
Of course we where watched by the security guards like hawks! Might have been because they where afraid we'd wreck the art or because I was running around with a half naked model! We'll never know.
(I am still afraid of the dark)
I slept with a nightlight until I went to college. And then I stopped sleeping with a nightlight so that Emily wouldn't make fun of me. haha.

A theme that i am mad about - Vampires!!
A studio shoot today, playing about with different lighting and rigs. A really wonderful afternoons photography. I got to shoot a model i have been dying to work with for a few years: Demondaz, what a pro he was too and great fun to work with, well worth the wait! He comes complete with his own fangs too (thank you)
