“I‘m not afraid anymore.”

I'm really sorry guys but even during those holidays I won't be able to take more photos >< ! We do some work in my bedroom so it's difficult to make a decor and put a doll on it, really sorry ..

A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.

Back to school means back to Samantha! Her, my other new photography friend Candice, and I went out yesterday for a shoot. Theyre tearing down the old hospital next to school and while the pictures would be incredible, the fact that it's next to a bunch of school parking lots kind of put a dampener on any possibilities there. So we ran off to the good ole warehouse and got a couple cool shots. I feel bad though because the inside may be inhabited, a fact we found out as we were setting up for what promised to be a really cool picture for Sam. Ah well next time!

Hope everyones well =)

Small child from Mishing tribe on Majuli Island was obviously afraid of the foreigner - not so many of them come here!

Big city life. Don't get too afraid, let's cross the streets together.

"To put meaning in one's life may end in madness,

"But life without meaning is the torture

Of restlessness and vague desire--

It is a boat longing for the sea and yet afraid."

Edgar Lee Masters

Afraid. That’s something i have always been (and i’m not alone). Afraid to the unkown, to not be enough, to love too much, to let people down, to be let down, to go outside, to say yes.

Fear was so big and heavy, just like an elephant. He didn’t want to get up and his weight fell on me. He told me it was dangerous going outside the circus, he ordered me to keep myself “safe”. So I did.

For a while I resented his words, i wanted to get away from him. But one day I saw it crearly: being a human is not about being fearless, it’s about being brave. This fear, is what allows me to feel, be grateful, vulnerable.

The next day I decided to take my elephant, my bag and my journey began. Sometimes he makes me detour, a heavy animal can make it difficult to walk, but he also reminds me I’m alive, he reminds me that my dreams are not just bigger than him, they can fly up in the sky, i can see them when I look up.

Although I have no idea of what’s to come or what the future holds, he travels with me and shows me how strong I must be. I don’t feel so afraid anymore and my elephant is and always will be a friend... my travel companion.

I’m kinda crying right now, I really love this photo and what it means to me. Today I’m not asking you to stop being afraid, I’m asking you to follow your dreams despite everything cause you ¡CAN! So grab your bag and start the journey ¡It’s gonna be a hell of a story!

Miedo.

I'm afraid one of my frequent threads is had they still been alive what people would have made of me becoming Jojo especially my parents. Those slightly negative and morbid thoughts have surfaced again today as it's the day my father died in 1987. No doubt he would be a bit too prudish to appreciate some of the things I get up to and enjoy but I think overall he would be supportive of me as Jojo. Being similar he always appreciated my desire to be creative and more importantly would be relieved that I have grown into an interesting and worthwhile human-being and not a brash greedy bastard or pen-pusher lol. I will drink an extra glass of red wine in his honour tonight, but having said that probably will anyway. If I choke or want to spit it out maybe he will be saying something but no he was not like that he was a lovely kind man. As he loved the various arts and crafts I think this William Morris inspired Liberty jacket might be a good post today along with a red swish of Monsoon Skirt to show I have not lost my swagger..

I am afraid I do not know what type this is but have seen many in my courtyard garden... moth, by ivy alvarez Many thanks to Kim for the ID Wingspan 40-45 mm.

Quite a spectacular species, this colourful moth overwinters as an adult, and as a result, can be one of the last species to be seen in one year, and one of the first in the next. It is also sometimes found hibernating inside barns and outbuildings.

The adults are attracted to both light and sugar, and the species is fairly common and well distributed over much of Britain, though it is less common in Scotland.

The larvae feed on willow (Salix) and poplar (Populus).

This night I woke up because of some thunder, but it looks like I was not the only one who woke up. I found these two under my table with a big blanket, curled up together like this.

Afraid of the dark.... but also what is in it....

This is my friend Tootie, red-wine drinker extraordinaire and Giles lover. I told her over Turkish food last night that I had a photo assignment I needed her help with (the D300 Challenge Group's Shy/Coy challenge -- yeah, I dunno either) since Baxter wasn't really getting my "act shy!" directions. (Imagine that.) Anyhoo, so Tootie threw me a bone, but if truth be told she looks a bit more terrified than coy.

You'd be terrified too if you were sitting across the table from my many chins.
