I'm afraid even though I'm very out and confident and live as Jojo many of the people I used to know don't realise who I really am. It is a bit embarrassing really for I should have told them all by now. Today though someone I used to know from work stopped and asked if Chris was dead for a number of them had seen me leaving the house and thought I was his partner or in this case ex-partner. I think it's too late to go back now so my New Year's Resolution for 2016 will be to reintroduce myself to them all as Jojo. Some of course have guessed already and don't want to speak to me anyway but that is life when you choose to defy convention. Today as well as picking up this little snug fitting number which not only makes me feel young alive and well it was the first outing for the new Jojo 'bob', like the November nights I like to go dark and cool in winter.

Out today with Pauls Pix 53 for a nice gentle wander around the Robertsbridge countryside.
As we entered the Elderberry Farm we spotted this, and other, bird scarers.
This can also be for the 365 treasure hunt, number 17 Bizarre, as it does look rather strange.
it took him a few minutes, but Micah finally convinced himself he was not afraid of the dragon. he said he had some at home.
I went to an educational presentation by Sarvey Wildlife (pronounced Sarvee) this afternoon. I’ve been thinking about volunteering there instead of just sending money. I’ve worried I’ll be afraid to be that close to these amazing animals. I was surprised in the presentation though. Although they were only about 20’ away, I was not afraid at all. I didn’t even think about being afraid. I think maybe I should give it a try.
This is Freedom and Jeff and their story is at the link below. Freedom is now 12. She cannot be released back into the wild because of her injuries.
Even though these animals have been saved from certain death it is heart breaking that they cannot ever be truly free. It is hard for me to not attribute human feelings to animals. Like hoping that they are happy, content and enjoy life. I hope that they aren’t hurting.
Maybe they are thinking they certainly have the life. They never go hungry. They are loved. Many have the company of others of their species. They have shelter.

I learned a lot today. Like most owl injuries are from them flying into vehicles. They get “food focused” and unfortunately a car appears and they don’t react as quickly as they should or they just don’t see the car until it is too late. I learned that Peregrine Falcons can fly 200 mph!! Great Horned Owls lay their ear tufts down when they are mad (like a cat with its ears)... and much more.
I have a few more photos to post later. The owls we saw were Saw Whet, Great Horned, Barn, Barred (sp?). A Peregrine Falcon, Red Tailed Hawk and a Golden Eagle. He talked a lot and so did Freedom.
