Love encompasses a range of strong and positive emotional and mental states, from the most sublime virtue or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection, to the simplest pleasure.
An example of this range of meanings is that the love of a mother differs from the love of a spouse, which differs from the love for food.
Most commonly, love refers to a feeling of a strong attraction and emotional attachment.
From friendship, to filial, to romantic love, it fills our heart with warmth.
Just thinking about a sibling, a partner, a good friend or special friend it fills us with a good feeling when all is well, it can give you peace.
And I will show you that love and a kiss is NOT just for the young!

Being Valentines week, I was thinking along those lines. My wife and I went to Kew Gardens on Valentines day and had a lovely day looking at the flowers and we also had a nice meal there. I took lots of photos and uploaded a few but nothing fitted the theme.
However, one LP I bought not long after we got married was Joan Armatrading and one of the tracks is Love and Affection. We went to see her in concert in Oxford. She was playing live and sounded just like she did playing the LP at home. Amazing. I still like listening to it now. Some years later I bought a double CD with it on which is easier to listen to in the car and on the PC.
So for this weeks theme you have Love and Affection.

Just a warm moment. Couldn't resist taking the shot. A few seconds after the previous picture. Sometimes you could walk all day and get nothing. Rarely, two in two minutes. Still I realise most people couldn't care for this 'art form' so i've been quite hesitant to even upload; and lazy to shoot. These are nearly a year old.

We came across a small pride of lions (Pantera leo) feasting on a dead cape buffalo (Syncerus caffer). It didn’t look like a fresh kill, but there was still enough meat to keep the lions’ interest. On September 20, 2021, I was invited to join two new friends for lunch on Georgetown Island, Maine, USA. My friend Brian was travelling with his dog, Riddle, who I had met during online concerts given by Brian & his husband Martin Swinger. Riddle is a charming dog, who honored me by "holding hands" under the table during lunch. Brian had told me that this is one of the ways Riddle shows affection! I've never had a dog or cat of my own, but have been blessed to know a few truly sweet souls who could communicate even with a non-pet owner! Riddle is one!
