Orange gerberas represent happiness, joy, friendship, and warmth, which make these alluring blooms the perfect gifting flower for your friends and colleagues. Send a bouquet of orange gerbera daisies to make someone's day brighter.
In a sea of Gerbera daisies that had visited, I spotted this orange flame glowing in the Indian sun. It was a blasting-hot day, and through my lens, this flower is a metaphor for thriving even in the adversity of overwhelming heat.

I have maintained my social isolation in family and with professional work at home. Here in Brazil we are already with more than 13.000 deaths by Covid-19.
That's why I'm posting my travel photos to Portugal of December 2019.
I hope that my friends here on Flickr are maintaining proper care...we will still overcome all this worldwide adversity.

You will be surprised to know there is a ridge in Lightening Ridge, the destination for today's get away escape. From the ridge there is an uninterrupted view west across seemingly endless plains all the way to the horizon and beyond. That ridge is a great place for sunset photos, and the odd photographer goes there around sunset.
On my visit I was prepared to get some Outback sunset shots, when a car drove up. Out sprang a couple who rushed into my foreground, got their point and shoot shots and were gone in 60 seconds. Every adversity is an opportunity, I took a few shots of them; this photo bombing shot was better than all my classic plains sunset shots.
One has to admire a beautiful old pine tree like this that has grown out of adversity atop the rock, exposed, thirsty and alone but still alive and kicking.

Son variadas las leyendas donde relacionan diversos animales que son considerados y utilizados como amuletos para la buena suerte, uno de ellos es el búho, ave cuyos ojos son símbolo de la intuición, de sabiduría e inteligencia. Algunos utilizan accesorios con la figura de este alado, para invocar la buena suerte.
Según el portal Soyesoterica.com, se tiene la creencia que el tener un encuentro de forma casual con un búho, es una excelente señal de buen augurio en todos los sentidos, pero fundamentalmente en el aspecto económico.
De otra parte, también se dice que los búhos son buenos protectores contra el oscurantismo y la ignorancia, por ello no es difícil encontrar la representación del animal en objetos como talismanes o adornos que llevan las personas y en ocasiones los puedan tener en sus residencias.
Desde ya a todos mis amigos les deseo que frente a la adversidad que caracterizó este año, lo terminemos con sabiduria e inteligencia.

Shot at Backdrop City. My idea was to model the shot on Jeanne d'Arc but if you prefer to see it as Game of Thrones, feel free! Really I was just trying to convey the feeling of marshaling internal resources to face challenges without any assurance of a positive outcome.

I am so glad I visited the Final Winter event which put this idea in my head.
I dread to think of the forces that twisted this poor tree to destruction. Just glad I wasn't around when it happened. Still, it's remaining shape does remind me of the statue of liberty with arm aloft! I've passed this tree numerous times and it is a swine to get in frame, but reasonably pleased with this one. Taken in Barnes's Grove, Buckinghamshire.

(Behind-the-scene: I found this seemingly "crucified" leaf in the idlewilds of the Deep South one cold December afternoon. I was amazed at how "perfectly" it sat, caught, entwined, if you will, among the branches of this tree. I never thought the scene to be sad nor remorseful. What I realized, instead is the lesson of grace under pressure. That gift of human composure and grace amidst definite adversity and certain regret. There's just so much that our world around us can teach us. If we would only dare look. Peace, and love, and grace to each of you all, my friends. :) )
