Atop the only rise for 500 miles I prepared to get a few Outback sunset shots. Then, as though from nowhere, a car appeared, out sprang the occupants who rushed into my foreground to get their point and shoot shots. Every adversity is an opportunity, this photo bombing was mine.

Keep up the fight. Cancer runs in the family for three generations. Mother lived until 90 minus one day, her mother till the early 90s, sibling in remission and still alive. Yes luck and medical care contribute to survival of course but their fighting spirits too. Keep up the fight for oneself and others. In time we will find a cure.

Nous avons tendance à oublier que le passé et le futur ne sont jamais définitivement écrits, jamais confinés à des frontières. Après tout, nous les inventons jours après jours, n’est-ce pas? Et certains jours plus que d’autres…

After a long day in office, while returning in evening right in front of my room found this leaf so thought of taking a shot
This one I had nearly forgotten about, a partial monochrome try out I took last Summer in my front garden. I saw it in the end as an image of one standing up against adversity or battling through depression and turmoil around oneself. The Sun light came through just at the right angle before I took the shot.

It is so easy to let all the problems of the world distract you from the good parts. I took some time away from all the bad news and worry last night to sit down and watch the 2016 biographical drama "Hidden Figures". I highly recommend this wonderfully uplifting film. The message is one of hope. The main characters are not well known in history, but they should be. I know that some of you have your own doubts, but this is a true story about overcoming obstacles and persevering through adversity to accomplish excellence. If it has been done, it can be done again. May you each find your own way to become excellent.
My friends, I know we don't always get to speak one-on-one. We could possibly stay in touch better. Life pulls us each in a different direction. I want you to know, that every one of you is in my heart. You each have and continue to make a difference in my life. Stay safe this weekend and enjoy whatever things you have planned. Hugs ♥

We were fortunate to come upon this Reddish Egret early in the morning. The bird was close to the road, in shallow water and great light.
While the Egret wasn't doing his mating dance, he sure was an active fisherman. He would fish in close, then fly back about 10 yards and work his way towards us. We shot this very cooperative Egret from the car.

A used to be friend of mine folks from the U.K. said many years ago that after meeting me what they are doing when they do this is checking for their wallet to see if it's still there, but to be honest I've never taken a wallet but have taken many many pictures, which is what I'm actually guilty of of.
Which takes me to another story, when you have some adversity in your life and things are not all that well, the friends you think you have turn and leave, and before you know it what you thought were your friends were just no bodies and not friends at all.
