Cupcake wrapping paper bought to wrap all my Sister's cupcake birthday presents - I couldn't really resist it!

January 2011

Please see notes for details and descriptions!

I think Chloe's favorite thing about her birthday was the wrapping paper. She really had a lot of fun ripping it all up.

I posted this shot so you could see how her little curls are starting to come in. 8-)

I had so much fun sitting down with a little mulled wine to wrap presents this year!

After unwrapping quite so many presents, Riley just fell asleep!

I am spending Christmas with my son and his wife. Their cat likes to sit on paper😀

And it wasn't Punky. You know who you are and we thank you. I must say that your reason for requesting for my address did not have me fooled though. =0)

Typography gift wrapping! This is a great technique for one or two gifts (like for a birthday). But for Christmas? Ugh. I won't do it again.

Christmas 2003

All of the presents are hidden and ready to be wrapped. We have set up the wrapping station in the furnace room and over the next week it will get well used.

Wonderful Wrapping Paper!!

I like this colorway better than the red one

OK! Get a Happy!

Hand-made paper doll (8 cm tall).

Materials: Kimono (indigo washi); obi (wrapping paper); red cord on obi; hair decor (3-D bow sticker).

One thing that struck me this year was the incredibly high standard of wrapping paper that my gifts came in! The diversity was really splendid, and it was a shame to toss it!

This one is a late present that Si brought round for me. We had a smashing catch up chat trying to name people we went to primary school with and discussing the manifold perils of leaky plumbing.

Ah, the joys of getting older! :)

I got four packs of this, 3 still unopened!

Detail of our inspiration board. The "no one does this for the money" posters were a mailer from AIGA, and the message resonated with us. Running a letterpress studio is a labor of love! In the background is some holiday wrapping paper I designed for Isabella Smith Apothecary/ Maison Belle, my only Danish client. The palmetto and crescent moon is the state symbol of South Carolina, my "home" state.

Me encantó ver como hemos vuelto al papel de verdad, en lugar a esos "papeles" de plásticos que se popularizaron hace algunos años. ¿Será por ecología, tal vez el precio del petróleo?

Vintage Wrapping Paper

Tuning the new guitar on Christmas morning.

Christmas 2009, Santa brought our boys a Yamaha acoustic guitar and a Rustler remote control car!

This is a great Christmas tradition. We unwrap our parcels together, and put all the wrapping paper in a big heap in the middle. Then everyone grabs a pair of scissors and some Sellotape, and we all make ourselves hats.

:-)

They're much better than anything you get out of a cracker.

For the 2014 Photo-a-Day challenge. A selection of gift wrap designs, with matching greeting card, gift wrap, tissue paper, ribon and gift tag. I only use these for very special occassions .... otherwise it is standard wrap .... especially as it usually just gets torn off and thrown away.

For the second year in a row I set up some lighting to get photos on Christmas morning, and it worked out quite well :-D
