This is one of the two faux iPod shuffles (that I manufactured out of Frisk mints containers) to give as gag gifts at Christmastime.

These were so much fun to make, that I started making stars with different paper!

For Macro Monday, theme: too busy.

It was my birthday yesterday. We're also having building work done, and it started raining on the wrong side of the house (the inside, that is), which meant I was out in the rain trying to seal it ... clearly very busy.

So, here's some wet wrapping paper.

(I'm not even going to mention our midnight trip to the vet!)

Still no name for her, Mum doesn't want to think of one until she has some solid time to play with her and make clothes. But I think I inspired her with this litle outfit I made while I was there. She got all excited when she got out of bed one morning went into the Dining room and saw her staring back at her all decked out in christmas finery.

Originally this character and these images were done for a wrapping paper pattern.

There in its colorful IKEA wrapping paper lay the present for my grandfather. Outside it was about to rain and while my brother and sister laughed and talked I sat in the car, trying not to get too bored.

These gift tags are almost too cute to use.

Starting a new Project 365. I almost launched into a dissertation on the whys and wherefores, but. Enough. 8/9/10 is the start date. I am committed. Yay for Project 365!

This was some wrapping paper I used for a birthday present (a gold scarf from Ecuador) for my wonderful friend Nina, who celebrated SIXTY on the third. Though you definitely would not know it to look at her; she's the epitome of youthful looks. We were up her way in the Bay Area for a wedding (no wrapping paper involved, all done via the internet) and had a lovely afternoon: Book Passage in Corte Madera (yes, I bought books--two of them, about birds) and a tour of her new digs with her aunt, also Nina. So. There's some context for this rather odd first shot of my project.

I gave Sarah every Seinfeld episode ever made, that I downloaded when I was in college. I don't own any wrapping paper, so I covered the box with newspaper. That looked ugly, so I printed out a bunch of pictures of Jon Stewart (her fake boyfriend) to liven it up.

This paper makes me happy. :)
