Detail from a gift sack my husband brought back with him from Thailand. He used this hold postcards. The paper has that thick, chalky feeling of Thai-made smooth fiber papers and an intriguing heart motif.
I bought a BUNCH of various and wonderful wrapping paper at a sale several weekends ago- my goal will be to use it up the rest of the year! No Christmas wrapping paper in December for me!

I had to bring home baby, birthday and Mother's Day presents from my daughter to distribute. She always manages to find beautiful cards and wrapping paper.

I was at an estate sale and found that the lovely lady kept every scrap of wrapping paper she had ever come across. I am in love with this large stash. Here is a bit of what I think is Mother's Day paper.
Detail of a repeating design on a scrap of vintage paper I purchased in a Christmas ephemera lot late last year on eBay.

Merry Christmas!! We had the best Christmas ever today! It was full of so much love, family, and GREAT presents! We're just showin' off a few of the gifts we got from each other today in this photo. I got Barry these kick ass limited edition adidas high top star wars sneakers, and a mega man 2 mosaic t-shirt. I'm rockin' my new Bed Intruder t-shirt, american apparel hoodie, and iPod touch. Barry spoiled me rotten! He also got me a flat screen tv, and a new desk top computer so I dont have to do all my photo work on my laptop! He also got these GORGEOUS bloodwood gauged hoops for my ears that I really wanted! How lucky am I to have the greatest boyfriend in the entire world?? SO LUCKY! So sad Christmas is over for now, but it was wonderful. We had a great build up in anticipation for it, and we def were not disappointed. Best Christmas I have ever had in my life! I love him so so much, and I can't wait for all the other Christmases we get to spend together.
Love, Nikki & Barry

These canvases had some pretty bright wrapping paper over them but since I repainted my orange hallway grey, I am sticking with a grey/black/white colour scheme. So I searched all over and this was the only nice b/w wrapping paper I could find. I wanted 4 different patterns but no such luck. So I recovered them all with the same paper.
i'm in the process of updating my pattern/textile portfolio... here is an olllldie but still a goodie. Looks great as wrapping paper!
