Usually, JAL 17 to Tokyo leaves long before I start my shift at 1700. Because of this, I hardly ever see a 767 sporting winglets. I still can't get used to this look! What do you think?
Condor Flugdienst Boeing 767-330 (ER) D-ABUA is climbing out of runway 07L.
c/n 26991 (l/n 455) has had its first flight on 15.09.92 and was delivered to Condor on 02.10.92. It was transferred to Thomas Cook Airlines on 01.07.02 and back to Condor on 28.05.04. Blended winglets were applied in May 2009.
These winglets are 11 feet high and help to save 4-5% on fuel consumption (depending on the length of the flight).

Winglet of B737-800 operated by Malaysia Airlines while flying over central Malaysia, making our way to Bangkok as MH780.
I got a window seat for my flight home from SFO, however it was on the right hand side, whereas all the interesting views -- San Francisco, bridges, bay, sunset, etc. -- were on the left. So, I settled for a purple sky and a wing.
Note the winglets. Gone are the smaller little sharkfins. The winglets must be providing better fuel economy vs the sharkfins.

Delivered to Delta in December 2000. The aircraft would be leased to WestJet Airlines in May 2002 before returning to Delta service in November of that year.

Taken from my seat at 38,000 feet somewhere above the Persian Gulf. We were on route into Doha, Qatar during the first leg of a 17 hour journey from London to Kuala Lumpur. My first flight on an Airbus A340.
This is a shot of the wing of a Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300ER with blended winglets. To emphasize the size of these winglets, there was a Delta Boeing 737-700 parked at the next gate and the tail looks like the same size as the winglets. I thought this was pretty cool. The 767-300ER winglets are about 11 feet tall while the 737-700 tail is about 41 feet tall. This is taken at the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.
