Inside an abandoned miners shack in the town of Muddy,IL. Muddy was once considered for the county seat in the newly formed Saline County in the 1840's.It lived and died with the large coal mine that flourished at the turn of the century. The unused Orthodox church is dedicated to a Russian saint,Ioasaph, which makes it unique in the USA. Have a great window Wednesday and Happy 2020 all!
It was incredibly smoky the week we visited Vancouver Island in September but this was my second visit to Tofino and it was every bit as socked in as it was when I last visited (Fall 2005 or so). Thankfully these buildings stood out nonetheless. HWW!
Apparently, there is a Windows Wednesday theme of which I have only been aware deep in my subconscious.
This is a bit of a falling-apart, old sawmill at Balaclava, Ontario.

Happy Window Wednesday
Thanks for all the comments on my last question. Nice to know most people felt the same as me. There was a positive twist with a few saying maybe they just like to look at pictures. Hummm maybe.
Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great week. It has been busy around here. Seems like my little town and a few others around are going to be the best place to view the next eclipse on Monday April 28th. The local news is telling up to stock up on anything we need right now because they expect it to get crazy around here. Would you believe, local schools will be closed so students can view th equinox.
Window Wednesday
I don't shop at Wegman's often because it's such a huge store that is 125,000 sq, feet of shopping space. It takes forever to navigate your way around the aisles. But, if I need specialty items I go there. It's taken me a while, but I'm beginning to remember where everything is.
It is an older shot, but I kind of liked it.
Always good to go through old images.
Happy Window Wednesday

HWW!
Here is a daytime capture, after some gifts have been opened while others patiently await unwrapping!
It's amazing how some of my dearest flickr friends have helped to create this scene! I feel so blessed, all year round, but especially during this holiday. You know who you are! I'll be writing you separately, as soon as I settle back down!
Drove by this twice. At first I thought it a strange place for a satellite dish. When I finally confirmed that it was regal, I wondered if the occupants of the house were Anglophiles or had an appropriate surname — like the Kings or the Lords or somesuch. What do you think the reason for the porch decoration was?
