September 7, 2022: I don't have a HWW shot for today, so I went back in my HWW album and brought up the very first HWW shot I did! Happy Window Wednesday, Peeps.
Now that the majority of people rely on mobile phones, what do we do about the many thousands of old telephone boxes around the country?
Many have just been removed, some now house heart defribillators whilst a good few have become home to small libraries of donated books, particularly in small, rural villages like this one in Austerfield, Bawtry, South Yorkshire, close to Doncaster.
It makes you think of all the reasons a perfectly good window should be walled up!
For both “Wall Wednesday” and “Window Wednesday” and also “Arches in architecture “!
It is time for me to say goodbye to my flowers. They were a gift and a wonderful highlight to my week but as with all things when they come to the end of their useful life it is time to let them go. Letting go is the hardest part.

Long closed general store in the semi-ghost town of Caneiro,KS. Like many old forgotten Kansas towns, this one was settled back in the mid 1800's. When the railroad passed miles away and it lost the county seat,it started to wither away in the early 1900's.The abandoned school sits about a block away.It is located not far away from Roxbury, the abandoned cafe I featured last week. This pic was taken a few years back and the inside of the old store is full of...everything.
Have a great window wednesday all!
Beckley Point in Plymouth, UK. Designed by Boyes Rees architects and opened in 2017.
Another building that had been nominated for the 'Carbuncle Cup', Beckley Point is rather a 'Marmite' building - you either love it or hate it !
It provides 500 en-suite rooms for student accommodation.
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FAVES
ON THE REACTIONS I WILL TRY TO RESPOND BACK

Yesterday I had run for a train and missed it. I had to wait an hour for the next train so went into the coffee shop at the station, where I saw this sign, it made me smile...my day didn't improve and today isn't much better, I haven't got my photo yet...absolutely no ideas, taken a couple I'm not pleased with and will probably end up having to post one of those.
I am going to be away for the weekend with no internet access. Will catch up when I get back but in the meantime I thought this might make you smile!
