(107/365) What I think is a Midge on the inside of my bathroom window the other night. Apologies for the quality, this was a quick iPhone shot. After his photo-shoot I let him out of the window. Happy Wing Wednesday & Happy Window Wednesday!

Southwell, a small town in Nottinghamshire has many small, independent shops and many of them are quite ‘individual’! This one is a gift shop that has a varied stock including some toys, greetings cards and tourist stuff! The window is very attractive and interesting to look at, even when closed as it was this Sunday.

Around Malta you will see many protruding windows like these, often brightly painted. They are typical of architecture found in countries that are Arabic or have a strong Arabic influence like Malta.

The design is called mashrabiya and is a type of projecting oriel window. An oriel window being a form of bay window which protrudes from the main wall of a building but does not reach to the ground. .

These are on the Triq il kibr in Sliema.

This house is on a street with a bunch of Victorian houses. Each one more beautiful than the other.

We shopped a couple of these a few years back but they were just a bit too much upkeep for me.

Happy Window Wednesday

Coming back through town after getting our second Covid shots, I took this photo with my phone. There was no where to stop here, and I had the same ‘we don’t stop for anything’ chauffeur. In fact, I think you can see our truck in the window.

Anchor Pharmacy supplies medicines for nursing homes and senior living facilities. I liked the blue and white color scheme. HWW

Happy Window Wednesday!

This tattooist place on The Old Market Place, Bridge Street, Worksop has been there for some years but could do with a bit of an external make-over as it’s starting to look very drab!

Spot the ghost signs on the brickwork above the shop itself - ‘Dresses Direct from Factory to Shop!’. Can’t remember the shop when I was growing up here but this small range of shops along the road have changed hands many times over the years.

Downtown Edmonton - groovy reflections in the window.

LOVE this part of our evening walk by the sea.

I love that my flickr friend from Maine has the same kitchen window and also loves to post photos of her arrangements!

I also love that another flickr friend and I have an ongoing snail mail correspondence and tzotchkes sharing exchange! Three items on this sill are from her recent vacation!

So isn't it crazy when local people will question the friendships I've made on this marvelous photo sharing site? Aren't we all the lucky ones to share so much of ourselves through our photography?

Happy Window Wednesday, everyone!

Not your typical window, but it is a window. Happy Day to all HWW

Taken for Window Wednesdays.

Week 37 for View 52...I am still so behind with this that I'm not even sure of the weeks anymore! Sorry about the lack of comments...it's going to get worse before it gets better!

This window is in the toilet of a gorgeous tea room and B&B in West Runton, Norfolk. I had to go back in with my camera. The tea and cake was as fabulous as the window and I will definitely return. Will try to get a better photo too, people were waiting to use the facilities so I couldn't hang about, I loved the colours though so wanted to post this for WW. HWW everyone.

My grandkids spent ages over a series of shots I took of the ceiling and reflections trying to identify the people around them!

When I looked at this pic the night after I took it,I noticed what seemed to be the outline of a lady's face burned in the wall between these two windows. I suppose you could come up with a legend of a previous owner still watching over her home many years later...or just a water mark molded into the decaying wallpaper.I think I'll go with the face explanation, the mood inside this decaying old house matched it....

The holiday season hasn't been very bright in this old house for many years. Here's hoping yours is much better and have a great window Wednesday!

Well, almost anyway ... getting new front windows and a new front door. Finishing today. I'm pooped just having more workers here. They are wonderful windows and high impact for hurricane protection. The rest of the house is next ... when I recover from this ordeal! This is a little collage of the front two windows that are in already! Door today!

Happy Window Wednesdays to me!

Wish I'd added this before people got here and commented... oh well.

There are several of these painted window scenes on a wall in downtown Chatt.Tn. They get a lot of looks and laughs from the passers by. The bricks are part of the art work too. They are painted on . HWW!

Now that I am back to work, I miss the island life even more. Happy Window Wednesday everyone.

Oldie but a goodie so I edited it with a vintage style. This is a building on the Potomac River in beautiful National Harbor, MD with views of our nation's capitol. HWW!

Last week we visited a few picturesque towns which are all connected by bodies of water which eventually lead to the Connecticut River. This intriguing shot is part of the Pattaconk Brook in Chester CT. Small shops, a few eateries and art galleries compose the Main Street area. Very quintessential New England! Happy Window Wednesday everyone!

What the brain knows but the eye sees, windows are always vertical wall but one object that is always on the horizontal can trick the mind to say windows are in the street.

Taken for Window Wednesdays and also for the lovely coloured climbing plant. This has been sitting in the archives.

Better viewed large.

Thank you for your favourites. :O)

Upon further reflection I decided that I should not stand any closer to the windows.

Happy Window Wednesday!
