Happy Window Wednesday(s)

Taken in Mendocino, CA.

Sometimes during my travels in the passenger seat I see things. Many times it is the best seat to have. This was taken in Hamilton Ontario. Not sure where but it is not important.

A few years ago for Thanksgiving, our family stayed at an old farmhouse next to the Gettysburg battlefields. It was a beautiful house with thick stone walls and mostly vintage furnishings. This was one of the windows.

Happy Window Wednesdday!

Rocky is thinking eggs will be a great breakfast today. Todays window is a bit more artistic than real, a window frame created to appear as a hen house window and then Rocky was painted in with the curiosity look of what waits beyond.

A very small plaything but fun nonetheless. My playing is a bit different than a child's. Not much, but a bit different.

I came across this image today while looking for something else. I take a lot of pictures for no reason at all.

Wall Wednesday

Winter I guess is the best time to view these homes because of the trees. I think these are magical really. I don't like painting so I would not want to live here. I like looking though.

Happy Window Wednesday!

Five years ago today, we were driving our car from Connecticut to Washington State. We had planned to bring it out the following spring when we moved to our new house. But we noticed a just-long-enough coast-to-coast weather window starting on December 26. Hubby needed to stay in CT for the spring semester, but we figured I could go to WA early and start unpacking (we had bought the house and shipped out most of our things in October). The trip was quick - we drove from 8:00am to 4:00pm every day, stayed in motels, and arrived at our new home around 3:00pm on December 31. A bit of snow and some high winds on the way, but also some beautiful scenes like this one - early morning in far southwestern Wyoming on I-84. Just had to stop when we saw this view in our sideview mirrors. Have a safe holiday weekend everyone!

It is about how we see things. How we move forward while remembering the past. Learning the lessons of the past and making tomorrow better.

Hope for a brand new day south of our border.

The woman in Red, with a red umbrella, under water? not sure but air bubbles make it appear that way,

Amazing still in use for a vintage train that is used for a tourist ride through the Northern California Redwoods. The "Skunk Train" was used to haul workers to the coast for the now defunct Lumber Mill in town.

There was some attraction to this little knit doll. Lonely and maybe vulnerable. Sometimes it's how I feel.

I think we are better when we are with others.
