We took a little road trip to a place called Fishtown - as you walk along the docks you see what it was like back in the early 1900's with weathered fishing shanties, smokehouses, and racks of drying fish nets. Some of the shanties have been turned into gift boutiques, art galleries, and speciality food shops, but this area still operates as one of the only commercial fishing villages in he state of Michigan.

The Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse is a wooden structure located at 14 St. George Street in St. Augustine, Florida near the city gate. It is touted as being the oldest wooden school building in the United States. The exact date of construction is unknown, but it first appears on tax records in 1716.

Happy Window Wednesday!

I was walking down the sidewalk and the flower shop door was open for Penelope and Lu's. They had a vase of flowers out on a table, which could be seen throught the glass pane in the door. The sign etched into the glass pane said "Come On In and Shop" I thought this was a natural cool setting for Signs.

Older image. Pre-pandemic.

I like the way this sits alone. Seems a shame. I have never seen any sign of occupation.

Downtown Paris on our Jingle Bell Night. It is always a good time but this was also a good time of the evening for some window shots.

This was shot just before Xmas. This house is not far from my house. Our area is full of older homes. I love night shots.

People that love rain are called pluviophiles. The word pluviophile comes from the Latin word “pluvial,” which means rain, and “phile,” which denotes a thing or a person. Therefore, a pluviophile is a lover of rain, or someone that finds joy and peace of mind during the rainy days.

HWW y'all! This frame has my ♡ and soul. It finally rained like hell over the weekend past and I literally eeeeked. I grabbed my camera and my jacket and headed out into the yard and got some really beautiful shots of my roses that are still blooming covered in rain drops. I then of course ended the downpour in my car as always. I was completely alone in my thoughts and silence with the sounds of the rain beating on my windshield... and my own hot breath fogging the windows 😂 It was absolutely glorious. Sorry for the long winded post.

Some people feel the rain.

Others just get wet.

An empty store window in Philadelphia, I don't remember exactly where - maybe 11th Street? I was just walking around near our hotel early one morning.

I'll be on and off for awhile - visiting my sister and dad in Michigan.

Jumping ahead a fair bit on our trip for Window Wednesday, we stayed in a normal hotel for a week at The Entrance on the Central Coast of New South Wales. It's views were not over the ocean but rather, tidal Tuggerah Lake at the rear or western side. The hotel had an amazing view over this large lake that opens into the ocean at The Entrance and is like a few others, example Lake Macquarie in this neck of the woods. Happy Window Wednesday.

Sunset, just before dinner.

Window and old fashioned ceiling light in a long abandoned Wisconsin farmhouse. Have a great window wednesday all!

Super HWW! :-)

Well it's official....I talked to the new owners next door again, and I'm definitely going to move this shed over to my place. It's going to be an add-on to the shed I already have. We'll move it one wall at a time. Build a floor for it...then when the barn comes down I'll get enough board to cover the floor.

Yay !!!

I can't wait to make it happen !!

HWW =D

Herbal shop has a new cool surf board design. Accents the windows nicely.

An older shot of Danbo at the window on West River St in Paris. I miss taking photos at that front window.
