Black and white image of Spring Snowflake flowering in the morning sun.

Cloudy but reasonably bright; if that doesn't sound like an April Fool.

Three-quarters of the way through this project, soon be time to start thinking about the next one.

The water in Great Pond is a muddy dirty brown following last Fridays Storm Babet, Due to storm damage you are currently unable to undertake circular walks around Great Pond and Miller's Pond; the Mill Lane M1 underpass was flooded and impassable for much of the week. I've seen standing water there many times but never that bad.

Bluebells flowers are starting to open.

Ponies on Dartmoor. Quite chuffed that this pic was shortlisted in #WexMondays this week (30-10-17).

I quite liked this viewpoint of the Minster from when I did the misty morning shot of it. The Minster isn't quite as in your face as some other viewpoints and I love the detailing on the entrance door to the Treasurers House on the right.

This was taken at sunset, the sky was a lovely pink colour but the foreground looks loads better in B&W.

Immortal souls heading towards the Minster!

An image I saw in a LPOTY book gave me the inspiration to try some long exposure photography on people instead of the just water and clouds.

A guy selling 'The Idiots Guide to the End of the World', the people appearing as ghosts and the Minster in the background seemed to tie in quite well I thought!

A rusting old yacht on the Holy Island beach.

I really love how stretchy the surface tension of the bubble is!

I was very pleased that my previous attempt at catching a droplet pass through a bubble (see comments) won this week's #wexmondays Twitter competition held by Wex Photographic!

I've already put my £10 winnings towards a new 2TB disk drive to help store the massive RAW files my D800 produces! :)

This shot was taken in the tunnel beneath the railway line in York city centre. It is one of the most haunted places in York. I managed to get hold of an antique ghost enhancing filter, took a few random shots and managed to capture the face of a young female apparition as it walked past.

Only kidding........ I used a Big Stopper and an ISO of 800 to give a 6 second exposure. The woman was alive and well :)

Another composition of my poppy field pics. This one was entered into the weekly Twitter comp wexmondays

I've wanted to re-take this shot for some time using my 5D and the 16-35mm lens, unbelievably the conditions were almost the same as the original shot taken with my old 7D and cheapo wide angle lens!

The forecast was looking great for a sunset shot but as we were nearing Castle Howard it started to brighten up and the clouds were disappearing. I nearly headed back home but decided to give it a go, anyway, I got lucky and had an hour or so leading up to sunset of cracking stormy skies - more to follow!

Went to shoot something else at Blenheim and came back with this..

(kind of inspired by the recent winning work on #wexmondays )

by Neil Burnell and while this is in many ways nothing like his work (which is outstanding!) I still think you can see how it has inspired me..

The 365 project so far...

Another practice using a black glass tile for reflections. Still having a few problems with lighting but this one seems to have come out OK.

#WexMondays entry for January 18

Water levels still very high; I've never seen the water look so muddy. A section of Deep Lane is still flooded.

Just a hint of autumn colour.

Wandering along Saltburn Pier I saw these chaps snuggled up on the bench tucking into their fish and chips.

The butressed south side of Bidean nam Bian, the highest mountain in the old county of Argyll. Named 'The Three Sisters' on OS Maps they look awesome at any time of the year. Gearr Aonach dominates the viewpoint, but it is the least lofty of the three. The cleft to its left is the walkers route into the Lost Valley. The summit of Bidean nam Bian can be seen in the distance. Got this in the last of the light.

Thanks for viewing and for any comments / faves.

Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas!!!

Winner of #WexMondays week 38.

Featuring the iconic lone tree on Back Tor Ridge. There were just 3 photographers up there on that midweek morning and the other 2 had moved on presumably to get closer to Back Tor Ridge itself. I stayed put with a clear vista, attached the longest lens I have to compress the layers, focused my attention onto the lone tree using only shallow depth of field and had a ball for more than 40 minutes! A memorable day it was.
