Early evening on the summit of Goatfell, Isle of Arran.

Taken 5 minutes after the previous image under ever changing light. North Goatfell is lit by the sun.

The cloud formation reminds me of Ghostbusters.

A bit more recent this one... decided to get my mojo back with a bit of wex mondays...

This was this weeks wexmondays entry (for you twitterers!)

The last week of meteorological winter; roll on spring! Another wet and windy winter, not too cold I think but glad it's over.

Generally dull, grey and overcast but at least is wasn't raining.

North from the summit of Goatfell, Isle of Arran. North Goatfell is in the sunlight, the shapely peak at the head of Glen Rosa is Cir Mhor and Caisteal Abhail is silhouetted behind. All linked by ridges. Amazing scenery on an Island I had not visited before.

Another little project; this time to take a shot of the same tree once a month for a year.

A somewhat dull grey and generally overcast day with a few sunny intervals: possibly a portent for the news later in the day. Lightroom makes even a dull day seem bright.

Really only one comment!

A lovely mid-November morning. Water level n Great pond is getting back to a more usual level athough the water is still very muddy looking, path on west side of pond still closed.

March the first month of meteorological spring; winter is over for another year. The first signs of new growth are slowly begining to appear. The units on the industrial estates are clearly visible but I think when the trees are in full leaf they will not be so obvious.

The spring equinox; now it is officially spring. Well astronomical spring.

Tried something a bit different for me but something I have seen to be quite 'fashionable' on the weekly #wexmondays on twitter. so here i go with my take on hight tone, landscape with white border.

One week to go and I've still not decided if/what to do next!

A shot taken from close to Surprise View looking towards Grindleford and the Derwent Valley.

Incredible tree patterns and atmosphere at Wistmans Wood. The mist gives the scene some nice separation in the messy woodland.

Dull, grey, overcast, dizzling! Light not great either, flat; lightened a little in Lightroom.

I've decided for the next few weeks, probably until late November, to take the shot from the same spot to give an idea of how autumn is progressing; hopefully not too boring.

Yesterdays #wexmondays entry.

Its ok, but lets face it... expectations are rightly low.

Mathilde enjoying the snow today.

I couldn't resist trying a bit of 'toy town' photography with my tilt shift lens down at York Railway Station.

The effect is quite subtle in this shot, maybe a 45mm TS would enhance the effect more?
