Better late than never; taken on my way to Whitby last Monday. Didn't get chance to do anything whilst up there so posted on my return.

Mathilde enjoying the snow today.

I couldn't resist trying a bit of 'toy town' photography with my tilt shift lens down at York Railway Station.

The effect is quite subtle in this shot, maybe a 45mm TS would enhance the effect more?

Gannets diving for fish thrown from the Yorkshire Belle whilst on the RSPB Diving Gannets Cruise.

Found a beautiful small waterfall hidden away at Newbridge on Dartmoor.

53 shots this year; mainly due to me wanting the halfway point to be the end of December. A warm morning, mainly sunny but a very light drizzle at times. A few people about but not that many. Temporary traffic light on the road outside the park; it looks like they are resurfacing under the M1 bridge; at last.

Still not sure what I'm doing for the next 52/52 project two possibilities, three if have a year off.

Spring and the end of March; not sure what the crop is this year but it's certainly beginning to show, I don't think it's rape.

A re-working of one from last year; for whatever reason I didn't get out this year.

The trunk of this birch tree on Lawrence Field is split; one side of the tree alive the the other half very much dead.

A variety of Pieris in my gardens; not sure what variety it is, seems to flower every other year.

Taken this morning after spending last week on Holy Island. Weather forecast was for heavy rain and thunder; glad they got it wrong.

Taken yesterday; the last day of summer 2022, and what a summer it's been! Record breaking high temperatures and very little rain. If this isn't a sign of climate change I don't know what is. Our government and governments across the world need to act and act now!

The after effects of Storm Babet can still be seen; some footpaths still closed. Luckily we seem to have avoided the worst of Storm Ciaran. I'm sure these earlier and more intense storms are due to climate change; what is our governments solution to the climate crisis, drill more oil wells! Pathetic!

One of the old upturned fishing boats converted to a shed on the beach on Holy Island.

Trying to get used to the camera on my new phone; Google Pixel 7 Pro.

Wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous 2024!!!

Week 26 and half way there again. Areas of the lower park are still not accessible due to storm damage; which seems to be getting worse by the week.

Apologies for a rather rushed shot and rushed processing; I had surgery a few days before Christmas and I'm not feeling too great.

A lovely bright and warm spring day, a change from all the rain we've had for what seems like months. Everything is coming to life after a coldish winter and early spring. Butterflies out, first sighting for me this year.

Do we have the first signs of autumn?

The two mute swans are recent arrivals on Great Pond having spent the last couple of years or so on Miller's Pond. The swan who had spent many years alone on Great Pond; following the death of it's mate in a road accident, is now on the Row Ponds.

A dash down to Tynemouth North pier for sunset and also a mega high tide. Biggest waves I have ever seen there.

Moments later me and my gear would be drenched right through by a massive wave. The camera is currently drying out :(

Another pleasant day; just about warm enough for me, much better than this time last year.
