Hideous photo of me, adorable of my boss' daughter, Sophie. We had a great time at the park! My week was so full ... no time for a real self portrait... sad.

That's another picture that I took when I was in Stockholm. I was on topr of Globen for this pic.
To 'keep fit' this year I've been doing a lot of cycling in the Boston suburbs. Pictured here is the camera 'equipment' on my bike and the 'rubber' of it's front tire.

Aug 7 - One of my most favorite spots on the planet is Sippewissett Marsh in Falmouth. I was able to get over there very early in the morning and was delighted to see some wonderful birds. There were loads of Semipalmated Plovers, almost more Osprey than Robins, a few Willets, many Sanderlings, and even some Ruddy Turnstones.
This Ruddy was much more interested in breakfast than me lying in the sand and had no problems approaching and walking right past me as I snapped away. It was a perfect couple of hours, imho!!
I took a lot of pictures of this Merlin, but it was upset by my return and the dive bombing Eastern Kingbird. Brave little bird.
Although I've been extremely busy, and usually did not have the time to load pics on my computer until long after taking them, I though I was keeping up. I made sure to take a photo a week not matter how bad the photo is or how late on Saturday afternoon I did it. I've been lucky until yesterday.
As you might have guessed, I did eventually miss a week. That week was almost a month ago but I did not realize that until yesterday. Obviously my memory have failed me because I had a bunch of photos on the Saturday before the week started and a bunch on the Sunday after the week was already over and none in between. Searched the memory cards on all my cameras, my iPhone, my iPad…. even my Aperture trash, hoping to find even a really bad photo that I might have trashed but at least I took within the time from… all were before and after and nothing in between.
I can remember that this was the photo I though I've taking for that week (the original title was "Psychedelic Fluffy"). Obviously it was taking the day after. I hope this is not completely cheating (ok.. maybe half cheating) but I thought it might be better than just posting a blank. if I have realized earlier that I have missed a week, I might have decided to stop the whole project. But now I have photos for all the weeks after already. Plus, we are so close to the end of the year.
I hope to go back to the 365 next week. Much better motivation and discipline in that one.
on a side note, thank you for all the Flickr friends who are still commenting on my photo even though I've been a bad Flickr contact recently. I hope that I will get back in the groove of commenting on friends photos soon.
