I had a difficult time thinking of a shot idea for this week's 52 challenge theme. I'm not particularly impressed with what I came up with, but I do like that the theme forced me to do some research on shadows in photography. I wish I could've had a model pose right where the watermark is. You better believe I'll be thinking about how to incorporate "in the shadows" in the future.

Weekly theme was multiple exposures. Have never tried this in camera before so thought I'd give it a try. My lazy nature didn't allow me to venture beyond the back deck so this is what I found.
In medieval times, it was called 'acqua vitae'. In Gaelic, it is called 'uisghe beatha' -- literally, water of life -- a traditional Scottish drink. This one is a 15-year-old Dalwhinnie single malt.

A bit of trivia for my international Flickr-friends: In Scotland, 'whisky' is spelled without an 'e'.

My parents had a clear out on the weekend and found this; it’s an old drawing of mine from when I was a child. It’s very eerie to see this as it could have been painted yesterday.
It is quite a good Childs eye view of the English riots which happened last week.
I also find myself a little troubled that I painted this when I was maybe 10 years old, what the hell I was thinking. Surely kids don’t paint this kinda stuff!?
I’d just like to add that I have turned out a well rounded individual with a good heart.
And as I totally forgot to take a self portrait this week I have tagged myself in the picture, as a good guy of course.
Thursday, July 2nd at 7:12 p.m. I am one of several folks across the globe that took a picture at this exact moment. Our optional theme was sky. ~~~ We are all under the same big sky here, so this is my little corner of it. My home is surrounded by trees in every direction. This here is the biggest piece of sky I rent, just before a quick rain came.
